Ben’s POV
As Alison walked over to me, she looked angry but also a bit sad. When she was stood directly in front of me, she handed me her phone and I noticed an article she had pulled up.
‘Ryan Lewis Leaves Jackie For A New Girl After Finding Out Jackie Is Pregnant.’
I looked up at Alison from the phone, and then over to Ryan. He was on the phone, to who I can only imagine was Jackie. I looked back at Alison, handing her back her phone before putting an arm around her shoulder and pulling her out of the room.
“Let’s go get some Starbucks.” I stated as we walked outside and down the sidewalk.
“Starbucks sounds good.” She answered.
As we arrived at the Starbucks, we went inside and ordered our drinks. As we waited, my phone began to ring. I pulled it out of my pocket to find that it was Tricia.
“Hey babe, what’s up?” I asked.
“Where are you?” She questioned.
“Starbucks.” I answered.
“With who?” She asked.
“Alison. Why?” I asked.
“People are all over twitter saying you are with some girl.” She answered.
“It’s just Alison babe.” I said.
“Alright, well maybe you and Ryan should get that through to the fans and media because everyone is going nuts with all this stuff about Jackie and this mystery girl.” She said.
“Okay, thanks babe, I’ll take care of it.” I said.
“Okay, love you.” She said.
“Love you too.” I said before hanging up.
Alison and I got our drinks before finding a table and sitting down. I had my phone in my hand and I was ready to clear some things up. I opened my Twitter app and began to compose a new tweet.
@macklemore: to inform everyone on what is going on, the girl that has been around Ryan and I is my little sister Alison. I’d appreciate if you all respected our privacy. Thank you.
Within seconds I had people saying sorry for being so nosy and started rumors about Alison. I locked my phone and sat it on the table before focusing on Alison. She was looking out the window, staring at blank space.
“Alison?” I questioned.
“Hmm?” She mumbled, not looking away from the window.
“What’s going on with you and Ryan?” I asked.
“Nothing.” She said before taking a sip of her drink.
“Really, because when there is nothing going on between two people, they don’t grin like mad men whenever they make eye contact.” I said.
“It’s nothing Ben honestly.” She said, still not making eye contact with me.
“If it’s nothing, look me in the eye and tell me that there is nothing going on between the two of you.” I said.
She turned to face me, looking me straight in the eyes before saying, “I can’t tell you there is nothing going on, because honestly, I don’t even know what is going on between us.”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“One minute, I feel happier than ever to have him by my side, and the next, something with Jackie happens and I just can’t stand to look at him. But all I want is to be in his arms.” She said looking down at her drink and playing with the straw.
