Ali's POV
"Hello?" I said as I answered my phone.
"Alison! I should've listened to you and Ryan I am so sorry I ignored what you were saying. Kyle, he...he..." she started but then began to cry.
Wait a second. That was Jackie. Shit.
"Jackie, calm down." I spoke softly, hoping to calm her.
I glanced over at Ryan to find him with a confused look on his face.
"Jackie, tell me what happened." I said calmly, not taking my eyes off of Ryan.
"I really don't want to repeat what exactly happened, but the moral of the story is that I lost the baby." She said still crying.
"Oh Jackie, I am so sorry." I said as my face fell.
As much as I may dislike Jackie for what she did to Ryan, I knew what she was going through. I had just lost a baby not long ago, and I knew what it felt like.
"It's not your fault. It's mine. I should've listened to you and Ryan when you tried to tell me that Kyle wasn't any good for me and that he was trouble." She said as she sniffled.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" I asked.
"No, I just wanted to call and apologize for not listening to you in the first place. And I figured I'd let someone know before the media found out. And also, I wanted to apologize for how I acted towards you when you were first around. I shouldn't have done and said all the things I did, but I guess by doing it I felt it was easier to get away from Ryan like I had been planning on doing. I loved Ryan, but I was just tired of the relationship. I'm honestly happy for you two though. You guys seem really happy together and I wish you the best. Ryan is a good guy Ali, and I know he will treat you right." She said.
"Thank you Jackie. It all means so much honestly. I wish you the best as well. If you need anything, don't feel hesitant to call." I replied.
"Thank you Alison. I should be going now. I'm sorry if I interupted anything or if I woke you up. I'm not really keeping track of the guys anymore so I'm not quite sure if you're in a different time zone or not." She said.
"London, but it's okay Jackie. Honestly. Call anytime." I replied.
"Thanks Ali. I'll let you go now. Goodnight Alison." She said.
"Goodnight Jackie." I said before hanging up.
I placed my phone back on the night stand before turning back to Ryan.
"What the hell was that about?" He asked.
"Kyle. Jackie lost the baby because of Kyle." I said as I looked down at my hands.
"Seriously?" Ryan asked with a look of shock.
"Yeah. She called to apologize for not listening to us and for being the way she was when I first showed up." I answered.
"Are you alright?" Ryan asked as he noticed my distant nature.
"I can just remember every detail of what happened with Kyle. And it hurts." I said the last part softly as tears began to well up in my eyes.
Ryan wrapped his arms around me and pulled me onto his lap, just holding me.
"You've got me now. And I swear that I will never hurt you. I love you too much to see you hurt." He said as he nudged my neck with his nose.
I looked at him and giggled before placing my hands on both sides of his face and leaning in to kiss him.
"You are one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Thank you so much for everything." I said as I pulled away.
