Ali’s POV
I woke up to find an arm around my waist and light snores coming from beside me. My eyes widened in fear not remembering where I was but when I turned to see that it was just Ryan I calmed down. I glanced at the clock on the bedside table to find that it was only 6 am. I let out a yawn before cuddling back up to Ryan’s side and falling back asleep.
*3 Hours Later*
I woke again, but this time there was no arm around my waist and no snoring. I turned to find Ryan gone. I sat up in the bed and rubbed my eyes before stretching and letting out a yawn. I glanced around the room and found no sign of Ryan, until I noticed the balcony doors to my right open.
I stood up off the bed and walked over to the doors, leaning against the frame and looking at Ryan. He was sitting on a chair with his phone pressed to his ear, slouched over and running his free hand through his hair.
“Jackie, don’t be like that.” He said. You could hear the sadness in his voice.
“She’s Ben’s sister… No… Fine if that’s what you want… Goodbye Jackie.” He said as he hung up and sat his phone down on the table in front of him.
He ran both of his hands through his hair before letting out a loud groan. He immediately turned around and caught my eye.
“Sorry, did I wake you?” He asked.
“No. Is everything alright?” I asked as I stepped out onto the balcony.
“Could be better, but I guess I can only blame myself.” He said standing up.
“What happened?” I asked in a soft voice as I took his hand and pulled him back inside the room.
“Well, I may have forgotten to mention I had a girlfriend, and she may have forgotten to mention she was coming to visit today. In turn she walked in this morning to see you and me in bed together. She took it in the worst way, and now she doesn’t want to be together anymore.” He said sadly.
“I’m sorry Ryan.” I said sadly as I pulled him into a hug.
“It’s not your fault. You didn’t do anything wrong.” He said hugging me back.
“Do you want to go get some breakfast?” I asked.
“Yeah, food sounds good right now.” He said chuckling lightly.
“Do you have a pair of sweats I could wear until I get clean clothes?” I asked shyly.
He chuckled before nodding and walking over to his bag. He dug around for a while before scratching his head and letting out a sigh.
“One second.” He said holding up his finger before walking out of the room.
