LYDIA'S POV :

"She's been missing for over a week !" I exclaim worriedly.

"We've been around Beacon Hills several times and nothing. Even beyond the city. It's like she's vanished," Scott despairs.

"Do you think she could have left town ?"

"That would explain why we didn't find her scent," Isaac answers.

"Yeah but her car is still at the hospital," Allison points out.

"And why wouldn't she answer her phone then ?"

"I have no idea."

"She would have warned us if she had to leave town," I protest. "And she wouldn't have done it when Stiles wasn't doing well."

"Speaking of Stiles, or rather the Nogitsune who possesses him, have you had any news since he escaped from Eichen-House ?"

"None," the Alpha sighs. "The fox must have regained control."

"And you don't think Stiles could have kidnapped Elena," Kira suggests.

A silence hangs between us before Scott speaks.

"Stiles was afraid about it but... I don't believe it. It doesn't fit with the time she disappeared."

"She disappeared at the same time as the nogitsune surfaced. I think it fits pretty well," Isaac protests.

"You don't have a premonition or anything," Allison asks.

"Nothing. I don't feel anything."

"Maybe it's a good news. If you feel something when someone is about to die then it means they're fine. Right ?"

I sigh. "I have no idea."

Scott's phone rings and he answers it, stepping away before coming back to us when the call is over. He explains that the sheriff was called for a murder but that the circumstances are strange. So the strand and I go to join him since we have an hour of duty while the others head to their respective classrooms.

"Sheriff ? What's unusual ?" Scott asks.

"That."

He turns to a body lying on the ground with two canine marks on the neck.

"He..."

"He was drained of blood," Stiles' father says.

"Could a vampire have done this ?"

"I have no idea who did this. It's obvious that it's a murder but there's no clue and I have no idea how to explain to the others the fact that he has almost no blood left in his system."

"There are no witnesses ?" I ask.

"Yes, but she can't give us any information, or even corroborate what she said on the phone."
