The Vampire of Beacon-Hills [ENGLISH VERSION]

S4 : Chapter Fifty-four

ELENA'S POV :

Derek escaped from the vet clinic. Scott, Stiles and I went looking for him, which led us to the police station. Noah looks overwhelmed when he sees us running into his office. So he takes us aside so we can talk in peace.

"I want you to be honest with me. Absolutely and completely honest. Have you been time traveling ? Because if tile traveling is real, you know what ? I'm done. You're gonna be driving me to Eichen House."

"We found him like this," Scott replies.

"Where ? Swimming in the fountain of youth ?"

"No, we found him in buried in a tomb with wolfsbane, in an Aztec temple in Mexico underneath the church in the middle of the town that was destroyed by an earthquake," summarize his son calmly.

"You told me you were camping."

"Yeah, you were. But in... in Mexico."

"Derek has been aged backwards. He can't remember anything. Which we just need to talk to him."

"So far he's not talking to anybody." The sheriff replies.

"He will talk to me," the Alpha assured him.

So the cub went to see little Derek and showed him his red eyes, which allowed him to talk again. So we were able to talk a little but he refuses to trust us until we answer the question he's been asking himself since he woke up.

"Tell me where my family is."

Scott, Stiles and I look at each other but no one dares to take the lead. So I decide to go towards him to talk to him. After all, if we tell him the truth he will be really hurt and if we lie to him he will know it thanks to our heartbeats. Unless I am the one lying.

"They are fine," I tell him. "There was a fire at your place a while ago but they all made it. They took refuge in another city further south while waiting. We will take you to see them."

"Why would a vampire help a werewolf," he spits.

"It is the 21st century. You have to evolve even when you are 900 years old."

I smile at him and he seems to relax a little.

"Come on. We will get you out of here."

We turned our backs for a second and Derek was kidnapped by Kate. So we asked Peter for help to find him. According to him, the huntress, now transformed, would have brought Derek back to his teenage state because at that time, he trusted her. He thinks that she still doesn't know how to control herself and therefore wants to recover an object that allows wolves to concentrate to keep control.

So we go to the Hales vault.

"She's at the high school," Malia wonders.

"It was built above years later," explains the werewolf.
