ELENA'S POV :
I slowly regain consciousness, keeping my eyes closed. My neck still hurts a little. My whole body is numb. I feel like I have no energy left.
I finally open my eyes, realizing that I am sitting on a wooden chair. My wrists and ankles are attached to it with metal ties. I take the time to observe the environment around me. I am in a kind of bunker. It is quite dark. I can barely make out a door that certainly leads outside. I also see dozens of photos posted on the walls, similar to the ones I had received. I am now certain that I was being followed. But by who ?
I don't take the time to think. I don't know how long I've been locked up here, but it must have been a while if I take into account the hunger that gnaws at my stomach. I have to get out.
I pull on the ties that hold my hands, trying to break them or at least twist the metal to free myself. Despite all my efforts, I haven't yet regained my strength and nothing makes them give way. After a few minutes of relentlessness, I finally give in. Fatigue gets to me more and more and I end up darkening again.

My head and limbs hurt less. I must have slept long enough in my opinion. It's still just as dark. I try to untie myself once again. My wrists turn red and I feel the metal start to deform when I hear noise outside. I freeze, straining my ears, paying attention to what's happening outside. I hear footsteps approaching, a chain moving, and a key entering a lock, probably a padlock. I hear the door open and a person enter the room. No burst of light or ray of sunlight accompanies my assailant. At least I know it's night. Or that the bunker doesn't give onto the outside.
The shadow advances towards me, remaining in the darkness for a moment before pressing a switch to turn on the light. I close my eyes tightly as it blinds me.
"So Elena. How have you been since the last time we saw each other ?"
I know that voice. It's been a long time since I heard it. And I was just fine with it. "Jason."
"Exactly."
"What do you want," I ask exhausted.
"Oh, not much. We have scores to settle, I guess."
"We told each other everything last time," I contradict him.
"In fact... you certainly said everything you wanted to, but I..."
"It was your fault. You broke our code and I only followed orders by throwing you out."
"You didn't just throw me out. You kicked me out while it was still daylight !"
I must admit that it wasn't very correct of me, but our leader had asked me to make him leave the DuMort. That's what our clan's residence was called. Sure, I followed orders, but I shouldn't have pushed him out in broad daylight.
