AT THE GOETIA MANSION...
Stolas was walking through the hallway with a novel in his hand as he passed Via's room. He peaked his head through the door to see her sending a couple of text messages before yawning and pulling her blanket up for the night.
Her father smiled softly as she went off to sleep a happy owlet. She hadn't felt this relaxed in her slumber since her mother started throwing her tantrums over her father and Blitzø.
Speaking of her, when Stolas shut the bedroom door quietly, he heard the sound of a talon scratching through stone and frowned instantly, knowing exactly who it belonged to.
"I've always wondered what he'd look like in stone." she smirked evilly at the statue before turning to him. "Sedimentary stone, in your case."
"I don't suppose you had other plans with him?" Stolas remarked with a hateful glare at his ex-wife.
"Granted, he was incompetent," she replied. "But even if I have to do everything by myself, I always have a back-up plan."
STOLAS - "That doesn't mean you're not as bright, thinking you can just waltz back into a house you don't associate with anymore."
STELLA - "I did tell you I like tormenting you darling."
STOLAS - "Even so... you have a lot of nerve showing your treacherous face around it. And I 'REALLY' mean one, striking, nerve."
STELLA - "Awww, someone mad about a divorced one coming to visit? I wouldn't blame you, even if I wanted to."
STOLAS - "That, and everything else I now know you've put me through. Like, why are you here to begin with?"
STELLA - "Which is why I'm not exactly 'in the flesh' here."
Indeed, Stella was actually still at an ice castle she shared with her snobby brother Prince Andrealphus and for a time, Via. She was only in the house because she using a holographic message machine.
STELLA - "It's actually ironic to think there are Goetias who study more than time and space, but surprisingly, it has its moments in recompense."
Stolas began touching through the hologram.
STOLAS - "Oh, yeah, wow. I don't think there's been a time where I felt repugnance whenever I touched you."
Stella rolled her eyes feeling insulted and disgusted by that statement, then turned her attention to Via's bedroom door.
STELLA - "I see our daughter's finally comfortable."
STOLAS - "I'd slap your talons away from the door knob if you actually had one on you!"
STELLA - "I'd take it you have a full custody plan for her now?"
STOLAS - "It took you this long enough to recognise? Shocker."
STELLA - "Is it a shocker if I did take that long or if I didn't? Not that I care still."
STOLAS - "Well you should. This is the future of the Goetia family you're speaking the name of, whether I'd like you to or not. One future you could still take part in."
STELLA - "Please, even the fantasy of that future is unpredictable and everyone in the family knows it, including you. In other words, this is Hell we're speaking of too."
STOLAS - "How is Hell in any relation to what we're discussing?"
STELLA - "I'd be happy to tell you, but that would imply that I'd give a shit about our marriage as you oh so say that I don't, but in any case, 'I do.' That and I'd have to start to where it was first established."
