Another Weasley (FTM OC)

Chapter 2: Sneaking and Suspicions

When a hush fell over the Malfoy manor Cayden knew something was wrong. Mr. and Ms. Malfoy were fighting. He knew it and Draco knew it. He found Draco rummaging though his fathers papers one night when everyone was asleep.

"Draco." Draco jumped at the noise.

"You know you are the only person I can't hear sneak up on me." Draco says to Cayden standing in the doorway.

"What are you doing?" Cayden asks careful not to step into Mr.Malfoys study. He had never been explicitly forbade from entering but he had also never been given permission so to stay safe he decided not to enter.

"I need to find out what's going on with them, they fight every night and think just because their room has a silencing spell I dont notice but maybe if I could figure out what's going on I could help." Draco says not looking away from the papers until he finds it. "Cayden look at this." Draco brings the paper over to where Cayden was standing.

"Sirius Black, possibly the most infamous prisoner to ever be held in Azkaban fortress, is still eluding capture." Cayden reads.

"I know that name." Draco says ushering Cayden into another room. Cayden hadn't seen this room before but it was a massive family tapestry with Draco and his parents in the centre. He moves down Ms.Malfoys side until he gets to a name. Sirius Black.

"Wait, you are related to this guy?" He asks Draco.

"At this point most pure blooded family's have some relative or another in common, I bet if we looked deep enough we could find we are related in some way." He says. Cayden did not want to think about that, the whole blood purity thing wigged him out.

"So who is he?" Cayden says.

"My mothers cousin, Sirius Black brother to Regulus Black deceased. Son of Orion and Walburga Black." Draco says. "My mom often talks about Regulus when she gets drunk, she gets sad. I think she blames herself for his death."

"How did he die." Cayden says, he doesn't want to pry but he is intrigued.

"I don't really know, apparently he died working for the dark lord or he drowned or something I dont really know but I know he was really young, he wasn't even married yet and most of my family gets married right out of hogwarts. Even my mom was in an arranged marriage. THATS IT." Draco says shocking Cayden.

"What's it?"

"How I know him, my mom told me. Because she was in an arranged marriage to Sirius because he had been a rebel and acting out and that was their family's way of keeping them in line but at the last minute she made an unbreakable vow to my father that she would marry him once she comes of age, her family had no choice." Draco says recalling it as if it was the greatest love story to exist.

"That's intense, imagine loving someone so much that you would rather both die than be married to someone else." Cayden says.

"It's romantic, my mom always said I would be like her, I would get to chose who I end up with and if anyone tells me otherwise then I have full permission to follow in her foot steps." Draco says laughing. As dysfunctional as his family is, they have their moments. Ms. Malfoy truly cares for her son. That's more than he could say for his mum.

"So what did he do that was so bad, what's rebelling like for your family not working for you know who or something." Cayden jokes but Draco doesn't laugh.

"You never met that side of my family, I did once. They are ten times worse than you are thinking. My aunt was a massive supporter of the dark lord. She went completely mad, although my father always says she never had any sanity in her. Whatever he did was unspeakable, as for what got him in jail apparently he killed a bunch of muggles and a wizard protecting them or something I'm unsure." Draco keeps serious. He leaves the room and Cayden follows.
