Mr. Malfoy was exceptionally busy this summer. Something was changing and both boys could feel it. Draco spent most of his days hanging out with friends, Crabbe and Goyle were at the manor often, and Cayden was spending more and more time at work and the surrounding shops. He would do his studying at nearby bookstores or cafes. Most of the shopkeepers knew him by name by midsummer. Soon enough Draco is waiting for him to finish his shift so they can go to the Notts summer home. Cayden thanks his bosses and they allow him to use their floo network to travel. Draco had Caydens bag ready and the two boys headed off through the fireplace.

"Welcome, welcome." Theodore says as they walk through the fireplace.

"Wow." Cayden says. He'd never been to a summer home and wasn't expecting it to be a castle on the lake. "Your place is massive."

"Yeah, its been in our family forever." Theodore says. "My parents said we can take the second floor, it has exits to the lake and its own kitchen, we don't have house elves in our kitchen though so we'll have to cook."

"I know how to cook." Blaise and Pansy say at the same time, walking into the room with Vincent and Gregory following.

"I also know how to cook." Cayden says.

"Well that's good because I'm starved." Vincent says.

"Yeah Vincent forgot to mention that he didn't know how to make anything." Gregory agrees.

"Well the three of us can figure it out I'm sure." Pansy says grabbing Cayden and Blaise and leading them into the kitchen.

"Do none of them seriously know how to cook?" Cayden asks.

"Well you know how it is with the rich boys, they've had everything done for them their whole lives." Pansy says opening up the fridge.

"Well we could make pasta." Blaise says looking into the nearly empty fridge.

"Yeah okay I see some frozen meat in the freezer and there is some tomato that we could use." Cayden suggests.

"One issue, I don't think they have any actual pasta." Pansy says having moved to the cupboards.

"Well I think I saw a pantry let's check that first." Cayden says opening up the door. The pantry had some cans of stuff that they could use a few spices and flour.

"We could make pasta?" Blaise suggests.

"Look, we use the canned tomatoes to save time and I'll see if they have a garden for some herbs." Cayden says grabbing some scissors and leaving the kitchen. The boys were playing games in the living room. "Hey do you guys have any herbs or an herb garden we could use?" He says tapping Theodore on the shoulder.

"Oh, fine I guess let me take you." He says reluctantly getting up. They walk outside in silence until they get to the garden. "Left is cooking, right is potions."

"Thanks, I saw some basil and thyme. Would your mum mind if I picked them?" Cayden asks.

"I don't care, do whatever." Theodore says. Cayden grabbed his scissors and carefully cut up the herbs. "Thanks, that should be enough." Cayden says getting up and dusting off his pants.

"Whatever." Theodore says turning to head back in.

"You know, you don't have to be a prick all the time." Cayden says.

"Yeah well you're stuck to Draco like a leech so short of cutting off Draco I have to tolerate you." Theodore says.

"Why do you hate me so much, I have never done anything to you." Cayden says, grabbing his arm and forcing him to turn around.
