Finally it was the weekend, Cayden had started making a bedding set for the ferret with some leftover fabric from last summer. It reminded him that he probably could buy new fabric for himself with the money he now had saved. Draco had come into his room already talking about quidditch.

"I am ready for Monday, I have all my gear ready. father even gave me money to buy extra stuff for before the game wanna come with?" He asked. Cayden smiles and grabs some money for himself. The two boys go out and spend the day touring sports stores. Cayden had to stop Draco from buying new brooms, reminding him what they were there for. They ran into Pansy and some of her friends, the Greengrass girl and Davis girl. They insisted on all going out for lunch and Draco was up for it so Cayden reluctantly agreed. He didn't know the Greengrass girl before now. She was in their year, her name was Daphne and she had a younger sister. Davis was less outgoing, her name was Tracy and she had her hair up in a very complicated style. She seemed nice enough but Cayden really didn't want to spend more time outside than he had to. They found out that the three girls were also going to the World Cup and were very excited. They said their goodbyes and Draco talked about how cool it would be to see everyone again. Turns out basically everyone in their friend group would be going to the game.

Cayden ended up sharing a tent with the Malfoys although the tent didn't quite describe the structure they stayed in. They were next to the minister of magic and the inside looked more like a hotel room than a camping tent. Still they all agreed it'd be nice to stay a few extra days and enjoy the sights (Ms. Malfoys idea). Cayden and Draco ran around the site looking for familiar faces. They found Nott and Pansy and her friends. Nott looked like he'd been tormented by the girls and Cayden couldn't help but smirk. They chat and all decide to get snacks and stuff together. It was fun, a great time between friends. Still Cayden kept thinking back to what Harry had told him. For some reason he had a bad feeling about it. He knew it was irrational and that likely it was just a delayed pain from a magical wound, fairly common and manageable but the back of his mind wouldn't shut up with what if's. His friends even noticed that things were off as much as he attempted to play it cool; they just looked at him like he wasn't all there.

The day of the games came and so many of his friends were there. Many of their parents worked for the ministry so their tickets were close together. They all talked until Cayden heard familiar footsteps and turned around.

"Prewett!" Blaise shouted at him.

"Zabini? I didn't even know you were in the country." Cayden says hugging the boy.

"Yeah, new stepdad got tickets." Blaise says pointing to a man a few feet behind him with his mum. They all talk before Mr. Malfoy ushers the two boys up to take their seats. Cayden knew that they would get good seats but he had no idea that they'd be in the top box right next to the weasleys. Harry and Hermione were there as well but Cayden tried to hide his face. His brothers might be dense but his mum would be able to pick him out in any crowd. Mr. Malfoy gets called by and goes straight up to the minister of magic and greets the man.

"Ah Fudge, how are you doing? I don't believe you've met my wife, Narcissa? Or our son, Draco? Ah he also asked to bring along a friend of his I hope you don't mind." He says, shaking the man's hand. Draco smiles at his introduction and Cayden just tries to not bring any more attention to himself.

"Why of course not, the more the merrier." Fudge says before rambling into more small talk that Cayden doesn't bother to keep up with instead taking his seat next to Draco.

"I didn't know we'd be sitting next to the Weasleys." Cayden whispers to Draco.

"Oh don't remind me." He says in a disgusted voice. "I have no clue how they even afforded these tickets." Cayden just attempts to hide himself further as Draco shoots nasty looks at them. Cayden wants to say something but he can't. Not in front of the Malfoys. Honestly Draco feels a small twinge of guilt, maybe he's performing as much as Cayden is, not that you could tell from his snarky expression but still. He just attempts to enjoy the game, he's honestly entranced by the beauty of it all. It's not just a game but a performance. The announcer is amazing and Cayden takes mental notes from him. Still the game is on and after a long game one of the Bulgarian guys catches the snitch but Ireland ends up as the winning team. Behind him Cayden can hear the Bulgarian minister talking to Fudge saying he'd spoken English the entire time and it was just funny watching him mime everything.
