That weekend was another hogsmeade weekend. Cayden had to sneak out again. It was much more boring going through the passages alone. Still he takes the honeydukes passage as at least when he gets out he can grab some sweets. He gets out into the main shop and looks around for his friends. Figures they'd all be in separate shops by now.
"People are looking at me strangely." Hermione says to the air beside her.
"Hey Hermione, hey Harry." Cayden says, nodding his head to the space she'd been talking to earlier.
"How'd you know I was here?" Harry whisper shouts.
"Well Hermione, you aren't quite crazy enough to be talking to yourself just yet. Wait till OWLS though we'll all be talking nonsense by then." Cayden says.
"Oh don't remind me I'm so behind on studying with all the things I've been doing." Hermione says.
"You are both crazy OWLS aren't till next year." Harry says.
"Oh did you hear something Hermione, weird I don't see anyone." Cayden jokes ignoring Harry.
"Ha ha." Harry says mockingly.
"Oh Harry, just take off the cloak." Hermione pleads.
"Nuh uh." Harry says. "Not while she's anywhere nearby."
"You do know I can't tell who you're pointing at." Cayden notes.
"Rita Skeeter." Harry says. "Of the daily prophet?" Cayden just gives him a puzzled look.
"You haven't read it?" Hermione asks.
"No, should I pick up a copy?' Cayden asks.
"No no no." Harry begs.
"She twisted Harrys words." Hermione explains.
"Ah so now he's being a big baby and hiding." Cayden says.
"Ooo you know what you should join us at the three broomsticks." Hermione says.
"No way absolutely not." Harry says.
"I'm hurt, you really hate me that much." Cayden says dramatically.
"Hermione is still trying to get me to talk to Ron, which I would be happy to do if he apologised." Harry says. Despite his invisibility Cayden could feel Harry glaring daggers at Hermione and he was pretty sure she could feel it too.
"Well as entertaining as all this is, I am going to go." Cayden says waving goodbye to them as he goes to find his friends. He looks in the three broomsticks first and none of them are there. He goes to zonkos then dogweed and deathcap where finally he found Gregory and Vincent. He asked them where everyone else was and they said they were all going to meet at three broomsticks in twenty minutes. It was nice to hang out with the two of them. Vincent was almost completely clueless when it came to herbology, made sense he was much more into transfiguration. Gregory however was pretty into it. He had even started buying new seeds to bring home and plant during winter holidays. Cayden finds a few herbs he needed for some potions Madam Pomfrey was talking about so he rummaged through and figured he had enough to buy some. After all was said and done they headed off to the three broomsticks. This time he could see some of his friends already at a table. Their whole group was at the point it expanded over multiple tables. Pansy, Greengrass, and Davids all took one table, Gregory, Vincent, and Theodore took a second and Cayden, Blaise, and Draco took the third. The tables were all close enough they could all still talk but Cayden was stuck in an awkward position where his back was always faced to at least one person. Still he talked and laughed with his friends. He had even started to warm up to Daphne the Greengrass girl. Tracey the Davis girl was still distant. He assumed that the ferret didn't help his image. Greengrass had started to warm up to it like Pansy but Davis hated Nox for some reason Cayden didn't care enough to figure out. They all eventually disperse and Cayden heads back out to Honeydukes. Blaise follows him and drags him away to a corner of the store.
