Appearing in view with my brother Kenton, Andrew had a frown on his face when he saw the proximity between Liam and I but he didn't say anything. Nor did my brother. Both kept quiet, but Andrew for the most part just stood there staring between us.

Liam whispered in my ear that he'd take his leave now. I nodded because the longer he's here, the worse the situation ought to become.

Andrew was watching me like a hawk. It was like he was ready to beat the living soul out of me. I don't get why he's mad though. I mean, technically he's the one still married. I might as well say that I'm single. I haven't been single for a long time.

Maybe some time away from being in a relationship will do me some good. The only thing I fear is finding my actual husband who has no kids while I have a whole baggage of three and none of 'em are his.

What if he wants a baby?

I'm not ready to have another baby anytime soon. To be honest, I'm not sure I even want more kids. Either way, if he does, then I hope that when we meet he won't be ready for them. In a way, I'm kinda hoping he has kids already, especially since my body needs time.

Kendia, catch yourself! You're thinking way too far down the road.

With those words, I snapped back into reality and I watched as Kenton walked up to me and pulled me away from the area.

"What's up," I asked.

He said, "be honest with me. Does Andrew hit you? He seems ready to attack you."

"No. He's never laid a hand on me."

"Are you okay being here with him? I can take you and the kids in with me. I don't mind at all. I'm sure Dreya won't either," said Kenton, who seemed genuinely concerned about my safety.

"He's not like that, brother. He just doesn't like when Liam's close to me, that's all."

Kenton sighed, saying, “Kendia, hes my friend and you're my sister, and while while support and am respectful towards your decisions, I don't feel like he's that person for you. Andrew's a good friend and I heard all about this daughter he has with your former employee, but Kenya said that you came by her place crying one day and I'm almost sure he's the reason. But seriously, Kendia, even though he's my friend and business partner. The man can be an absolute asshole and a control freak. I've seen him do it with his wife April and I don't want that for you.”

“He's not trying to control me.”

My brother scoffed, saying, “the man obviously does have a bit of control as you seem to always take him back no matter what he does. I'm not saying he cheated or what have you, but by the way Kenya said you had been bawling your eyes out, I know he did something but clearly you took him back.”

“No, and as a matter of fact, I just packed up his clothes last night.”

“Oh, is that true?”

“Yes.”
