The next morning

"Hey, big belly. I can't seem to catch up with you these days," said Andrew when I let him in, who then tried to rub my stomach but I turned away. He questioned, "What? I can't rub your belly anymore?"

"No."

"A'ight. Cool. No problem. I'll be alright," he raved and ranted as he pushed his foot down on the brakes of the stroller. He then bent down and grabbed a plate from the net beneath the stroller and said, "here, I bought this for you. You must be starving."

"No, I made something already."

Sniffing the air, Andrew replied, "I don't smell anything."

"Don't worry about me, okay. Just go."

"I don't want to go anywhere."

"Well, you can't stay here."

Taking a step forward, he tried to take a hold of my hand but I pulled away.

Andrew sighed, "you don't have to be like that towards me. You know that I still love you and I know that you still love me too. Don't be so hard on me. Don't put that wall up between us…please," he begged and all of sudden for some odd reason a rush of unclear emotions came about in my heart, and my chest began to feel heavy as if I was burdened down with the weight of the world and a tear fell from my eye. Andrew was at my side in an instant and held me in his arms. For a moment he became a shoulder to cry on, but get this, I have no clue what I'm crying about. As soon as I dried all the tears, I backed away from him and pretended as if what just happened never happened.

"What's wrong," he asked, furrowing his brow.

Fumbling with the things on the shelf, I said to him, "I don't know.”

“What do you mean you don't know?”

“I don't,” I told him. “I've not been feeling too good. Mentally and physically. But I guess you came by to bring the kids right," I looked down at my sweet little babies and caressed their chubby cheeks with my thumb.

"Mm hmm. But since you're not feeling too good I'll carry them with me to work and bring them back later this evening."

"Okay, yeah, that'll be great. Thanks," I sighed.

He looked me up and down before he said, "you showered early. Where are you going? Clinic again?"

I answered, "No, I'm actually gonna see Kenton at the hospital but not until 12. I thought that I should get partially ready ahead of time."
