When Marleena looked at Maggie had a scowl on her face that would peel the paint off the walls if it could. Marleena just shook her head and said softly and comfortingly " I had warned you not to get to careless with plans when you deliver them. You should always look at them with the foreman at the site to make sure that all the plans are there so there won't be any screwups, I had to learn it the hard way. You think it's easy doing this, then I'll let you be the CEO and I can be the liaison for the company and have time for me. as you have a husband who cares for you and you have your career as well. I would love to have what you have, I just don't get it, you always think I have it easy. humph!" then Marleena left Maggie to think about what she needed to do .
Treyce called Maggie at work and asked how she was doing. Hearing her cry on the other end of the phone he told her to just go home and wait until he would get there to talk to her about her day. Upon his arrival at home, He found a very distraught Maggie pacing the floor of the living room. When she saw he had arrived at home Maggie immediately ran up to him hugging like she hadn't seen him in ages old. Holding her tight Treyce pulled back for little space to look at her face.
"What are all the tears for?"
"I got a summons to appear in court this Friday and I can't remember the foreman's name or what day it was when I delivered the plans, I just know it was a Monday when I dropped off the plans and I did not stay to double check the plans, I think that Marleena has set me up to take this fall for her . I just know it she is that way you know" Maggie was very venomous in her speech and dripping with vinegar.
"Wait, did you say that Marleena set you up for this, What happen today at work? and start at the top" Treyce said with concern in his voice for his wife's work story.
"I happen to be at lunch when Marleena called me back to the office for a meeting with a lawyer. The building I designed and drafted the elevator shaft collapsed and killed some people and injured several more in the process. Now I'm being sued for negligence. That's what the subpoena is for, I have to go to court this Friday at ten o'clock A.M. What do I do? How can I get out of it?" Maggie begged and pleaded with sobs in her voice.
"Well I can help you with this as I was there when you handed the plans to me so don't worry about this. I will just say it was windy when I took out the plans and some of it got taken away with a strong gust of wind and I couldn't retrieve them that is all and who knows where they went." Treyce suggested with a hint of malice towards the Sharm's Conglomerate Enterprises CEO Marleena.
"Okay, then I'll see you at home this evening. Bye." Maggie feeling very upset and angry that the subpoena had been handed to her and not her sister, she still couldn't believe that her sister did not take the responsibility for this like she did before. Wondering how could she just let her hang like this.
Marleena was in a conference this afternoon to consult with the owners of the Princess Towers Hotel about the accident that happened to their elevators and wanted to investigate who was the construction team behind it. She had called Cera to her office and asked for another Team to investigate the defective elevators and hopefully to help to correct the problem. Cera "there is a construction company in Mister, Oklahoma that maybe willing to do this for us and help out. They are related to the CallsburgDakster Corporation. Would you like to give them a call? "
"Anyone will be fine I just need their number to call, so get them on the phone" Marleena said.
Cera placed the call to Neiah Construction Company, then put it through to Marleena's office.
"Hello, Neiah Construction how may we help you? this is Kelby speaking" Kelby answered the phone .
"This is Sharm's conglomerate Enterprises, my name is Marleena, I would like for your company to investigate an elevator shaft accident for us and help us to repair it . would you be available to do so?" Marleena asked in a very professional voice.
Kelby saying "yes I would be glad to do this for you. Where are you located at? What kind of building is the elevator in?"
"We are located in Cobbles Ohio and the building is the Princess Tower hotel. I can email you the information that I have on it and if you want then we can discuss the terms that you need to complete this." Marleena was sounding pretty hopeful after talking to Kelby.
Kelby agreed to look at the issue and investigate it before talking in terms of repairing the elevators. She learned to do this and was willing to teach others what she has learned from her husband's family. She gave Marleena her email address to get the information to review and make her final decision.
Marleena quickly compiled all of the information into a file to be sent to Kelby via email and awaited Kelby's decision about taking on this job and what terms that the Neiah company would need. This gave Marleena a chance to recoup what may be lost in the law suit if it can be restructured and reopen with a memorial of those who have suffered. She had read the online news about how the Callsburg-Dakster had turned a bad drill site into a beautiful park of memorials for their employees who died at the site and how they have helped many of their families to prepare for a future and survive the accidents. Seeing that their is a business elite conference coming to Cobble Ohio in the coming months, she was hoping to get a chance to go to the conference.
Cera knocked on the door and it startled Marleena and she almost jumped out of the chair saying "yes come on in"
