After finishing up the inspection of the elevator shaft and photos of the elevator shaft inside and up and down and all of the written report that Kelby had done, she looked and saw that it was nine thirty AM and it only gave her less than thirty minutes to get to the court house and file the paper work for the inspection with the proposal for rebuilding the elevator shaft as well as the stair well. As she arrived at the court house it was two minutes till ten and handed the paperwork to the chief officer in charge of the case to file and the photos were admitted as the evidence of no safety features for the elevator that caused the deaths of six people and injuries to at least seven others.
Upon arrival to the court house Maggie was looking very anxious and nervous about the testimony that she was going to give pushing the blame to her sister, with her husband beside her collaborating with her as a so called witness for Maggie that he did not receive the safety features for the elevators with the plans and that it was windy and blew all of the plans around the area and they retrieved all of the paper plans that were on the premises and letting the jury to think that it was his sister in law who wanted to cut corners with the building.
When everyone was sworn in to testify the first witness was called to the stand to testify stating that they were waiting for the elevator in the basement when they heard a crash and then and explosion ensued with lots of dust and fire. The plantiffs lawyer provided photos that were taken at the time as it was on a phone that save it and was printed to be used . The next witness gave almost the same exact story except they were on the first floor when they saw flames coming from the bottom of the elevator doors that melted shut to the area of the elevator. The rest of the witnesses all had the same testimony with their views as well telling the same story just in a different view point.
The time came for the defendants to have their say in the accident. The first was to be Treyce Polymire.
"It was very windy that day and when I opened the canister that held the plans for the building the plans had fallen to the ground and was blown all over the property and my crew and I had collected what paper we could find not looking for any other paper that was scattered and only found the plans that were for the Princess Tower Hotel design which my wife Maggie who works with Sharm's conglomerate enterprise. She had handed me the container with the plans and wasn't feeling well and I had sent her home to start taking care of herself." with that being said he felt proud of himself.
When Maggie was called to the stand Her story was the same as her husband and she added "prior to taking the plans to the foreman who is my husband for the Princess Tower Hotel, my sister Marleena had looked over the plans and placed them in the container and gave it back to me. She has to sign off on them to make sure that they were accurate and safety features were in place for the building to be built in." sounding as innocent as she possibly could.
When Kelby was called to the stand to give the reasoning for the accident investigation She Simply stated "yes there was a fire. No it would not have burnt all of the safety features in the elevator shaft. No, there were no signs of any pulley or tackle pulls in the elevator shaft even after bein g burnt there would be indentations of such items even when inspecting the box the people were in it would have been seen through the bottom and there was no extra space for the pulls to be as the whole of the bottom gave way after falling from what looked like the fourth floor of the hotel." With that Kelby felt like being sick and asked to be excused from the court room.
Making her way to the bathroom, Kelby hung her head over the toilet and dry heaved several times. When Marleena walked in and found her there looking pale, asking "Are you okay? Can I take you to the clinic to be checked out?"
Kelby replied "No I'll be okay here in a few. By the way my name is Kelby Neiah Callsburg-Dakster Ceo of Neiah Construction Company"
"I'm Marleena Sharm of Sharm's conglomerate Enterprise nice to meet you, I wish it was under better circumstances for sure" Marleena said.
Kelby lifted her mouth into a weak smile and turned to dry heave again after doing so she collapsed beside the toilet. Marleena reached into to pull Kelby from the area to a safer area in the bathroom and called for help, as soon as help arrived they took Kelby to the hospital there in Cobbles to be checked. Marleena just met her this afternoon at the court house she told the hospital personnel, when they found her phone they found her husband's telephone number and called "Sir your wife is here in our hospital cause she fainted is there any medical history we need to know like her allergies"
Ethan stunned to hear that Kelby was in the hospital in Cobbles told them he would be there and "no she did not have any medical history" after he hung up he notified her dad that they were going to Cobbles in the Callsburg-Dakster personal jet and they were leaving in ten minutes. with that he notified his parent that he needed the jet to get to Cobbles Ohio cause Kelby was in the hospital there and needed him. after he arrived there with His father in law It was Donald that had picked them up from the runway and drove them to the hospital where Kelby was staying.
