Enlightened, I feel.
Ascended past mortal skin, my soul nothing but a vessel for this feeling.
Every second we aren't touching is a year apart
Every second your skin is pressed against mine is a lifetime well lived.
If I died tonight, let the headlines read out,
Man dies, crushed in the crevice right between rhyme and reason.

The word glow doesn't do you justice, the way you shine.
The way my mothball-filled mind can't see anything but this light.
Flapping my wings, not at all for the sake of flight.
Though, press your sweet lips on mine again,
And I may yet take off

This lift's capacity sign reads two, and together we tear it down.
Anarchy reach behind my blind eye and guide my eager hands tonight.
Braid our heartstrings in tandem with this rhythm I've gotten so lost in.
Remind me how to walk on these two left feet.

Sweet, salty and sour
Sharp, soft and smooth

Sing me your song; teach me what tempo, what key love belongs in.
Standing ovation for the concerto of passion, of sweet symphony.
Threes a crowd, or a trio band ready for tour.
The world isn't ready for the depth of the music we've made.

For the sake of experience, for the sake of that arbitrary number,
Or for the sake of your closest friend finding a little more solace in your most honest embrace.
A night well spent, a morning then wept,
The foundation of all that we know shaken, and slightly ajar

Tenfold I return your sentiment,
Tenfold you return my gratitude and joy.
May we never grow apart, may we always remember with enthusiasm and merit,
And most importantly, with all the love we found on that journey together.
Signed, your most lovestruck and honored friend.
