The crowd cheered. It was the day of the trial, and they sure as hell were planning on causing a scene.

A riot.

They planned on entering the halls with no stopping until they reached their goal.

Make X pay for what he's done.
For taking away their hope. Not caring for them.

They didn't care if the higher up 7 kingdoms were there, they needed to get a point across.

"TONIGHT WE SHOW THEM WHO IS GOOD AND WHO IS TRULY EVIL!"

Cross was nervous throughout the ride there, even now as they were inside the castle walls.

They weren't in their home, no.
They were in a place called 'The labyrinth' they were walking to the main hall, where X would be judged..

"Cross."
Nightmare spoke.

"Y-Yes, my Lord?"

"Whatever happens, just be extremely honest to any questions."
Nightmare placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

'What..? W-Why me?'

"A-alright, but m-may I ask why? I'm not the o-one on trial.."
Cross questioned.

Nightmare blinked.
"The thing is.. we all know about what X has done to you.."

Cross held his breath. His soul stuck in his throat.

"W-What!?"

'N-No he k-knows! How long h-has he!?'

"Hey, sweetheart, look at me!"
Nightmare had a firm grip to both of the smallers' shoulders.
"As shocking as it may seem, yes I know, that's also why this trial has taken place."

Cross was scared. He felt tears in his eyes.

Nightmare sighed.
Embracing his lover into his arms.
"You're alright my love, when were in there, nothing will happen to you. This, I swear."

He pulled away to plant a kiss to Cross' head.
"B-But you..?"

Nightmare raised a brow.
"I what?"
Cross shook his head.

"F-Forgive me, y-you must t-think I'm.. a fraud.."

"......"

There was silence as Cross kept his head low.
The other knew about the abuse! But what does he think of Cross now.

Cross only grew more anxious at the thought of being kicked out.

"Don't ever say that.."

"P-Pardon-"

"Don't ever say that about yourself, Dammit!"
Nightmare snarled.
"A fraud? Yes im upset you didn't tell me, but I know my husband! And you aren't any of what you think you are."

The Dark Lord embrace the smaller once more.

Cross was in shock.

"You're perfect to me, that doesn't change anything for us."

Nightmare sighed.

"So please."

"....."

"Be careful in there, and make sure to leave nothing out. It's all I ask of you."
