10. When The Dark Attacks 🧚🏽‍♀️

Elias is in his intimidating,clean and powerful armour. He awaits the arrival for Ned.

“ So you're really going back....to die!” Alex said in a sassy tone.

“ I've told you.... I'll pull through" Elias said in a calm tone.

Alex sighs and finally gives up trying to convince the adamant prince.

“ Ned's been gone for hours...I wonder when he will be back,” Alex wondered,his arms crossed.

“ I hope he comes back soon,the sooner he comes,the faster I'll get things done”

Alex slightly shakes his head in disapproval.

In the far distance, they sight a man running. Once he gets closer into the moonlight,they see it's Ned.

“ Speak of the devil and he..."

“....we need to get out of here!,” Ned said panting. “ oh God!,” he exclaims in exhaustion.

“ What's the problem?,” Alex asked in concern.

Ned swallows and calms down.

“ First...did you by any chance use your powers in the forest?,” Ned asked.

“ I-I... don't really remember,” Alex said,his face squeezed as he tried remembering.

Ned sighs.

“ The only thing I really can remember is,” it finally hits him that he did use his power unconsciously.“a....bright flash of light covering everywhere,” He remembered.

“ Turns out everyone felt it... including the king...and maybe, just possibly....the void,” Ned says.

“ What?,” Fear suddenly grips Alex.

Suddenly, everyone starts rushing, setting things in order.

“ No time to hesitate...even though I just did that but we have to go!,” Ned said breathlessly. He gently pushes Alex and the knight follows after.

Suddenly,the hear a loud scratching sound from outside the gate. Purple light starts emerging. It reaches and reflects on the gate.

Then there's a loud clank and the sound of a sword being dragged on the floor.

Alex starts sweating profusely. The knight places a hand on his sword,ready to draw it out. Ned's breath slightly picks up the pace.

Another clank is heard. Then again. And again.and again. Then silence. There was not a sound. Not even the chirping of insects. The night was dead quiet. The only felt was the shrill breeze blowing. Normally it would be refreshing. But now it's making every hair on their necks stand.

“ Is anything gonna happen or....?”

His question was cut short and also answered at the same time as the gate blow open in purple dark light.

They all duck.

“ ahh,” Alex screams unconsciously.

Once they're heads are raised,shadow creatures rush in and the sound clomping of running hooves fill the night.

Several void knights rush. Their armour's are pure black and they seem to be made of purple essence...cause their emitting black- purple smoke  from their bodies.

“ Duck!,” Ned instructs in a loud voice as a large shadow creature with wings fly over them.

People are screaming and running. The giant creature heads straight to the castle. It climbs on the palace and wraps it's tail around it. With a loud grunt it crushes it.
