With a neigh, the horse swoops down on a river bank where the leaves are dry and the water is stagnant, brown and full of dirt.
As the horse lands,Alex quickly gets down. He's worried for the princess in the bossom of Elias. Elias gently let's her down and Alex helps support her.
Alex sits on the floor and puts her head on his laps.
He uses the back of his palms to check her temperature by touching her neck and her forehead. Elias squats. He checks her pulse to make sure she's still alive.
Elias sighs.
“ What did you do to her?” Elias asked with a soft face.
“ I...I don't know,” Alex answers softly. “ he sighs and looks down. “ I was trying to concentrate and do what I did before..but something else happened,” Alex said raising his head up to Elias.
“ What happened?” Elias asked softly.
“ Well...I saw...her. It was like a vision of some sort."
Elias licks and bites his lower lip.
“ I saw she was trapped and I felt like I needed to save her...and I guess I did” Alex said.
“ Oh..so that's what you did!” Elias said standing up with a sigh and smile of relief.
“ I thought you killed by frying her brain or something” he said with a smile. “ But it turns out...you didn't,” he said proudly as he puts his hands on his waist and shakes his head.
“ If I killed her, then why would I bring her body?” Alex asked with a scrunched face.
“ I thought we wanted to give a proper funeral,” he shrugged. “ And maybe use her as dinner,” he says quietly.
Alex looks down at her in pity, then he notices the dry grass, the dried trees, rocky mountains and the stagnant water.
His heart fills with sorrow. He gently places her head on the grass. He stands up and walks to the edge of the riverbank.
He looks around and he puts on a sad expression.
“ Are you alright kid?” A concerned Elias asks.
“ Seeing Diana in that vision made me realize something," he said sadly. “ Darkness is cruel. And it's painful how it still exists and manages to find it's way into everything. I mean, look at this place... it's dry, dirty and depressing. I might have not been here before...but I know that this place was beautiful beyond measure. Look at how it attacked Khaleria, and how it trapped an innocent pure soul like Diana,”
“ pure?” Elias asks himself with a scrunched face .. considering the fact she almost ate them.
“ But this war isn't over. Darkness started this..” he looks at the dry grass and walks to the middle. He closes his eyes and places his hand on his chest. He exhales and a small ball of light glows in the middle of his chest.
Elias takes off his hands from his waist and his mouth slightly open in shock.
Alex plucks out the ball of light from inside his chest. He slowly opens his eyes and looks at the small ball of light gleaming with life.
“ ...But I can and will end it!,” he bends down and puts the ball of light on the floor. The light spreads through out the river bank with bright varying colors. The grass turn green and flowers sprout out the ground in pixie dust, the trees resurrect, the light spread up the mountains on both sides and flowers grow on it and the waters turn crystal blue and gets clean and starts to flow. The light spreads and pulses through Diana's body.
Alex stands with a smile on his face.
Elias looks at him in complete shock and yet, he's proud.
“ It's time this world felt a touch of light!”
