18. Welcome To The Team 🧚🏿‍♂️

" What do you want from me,"? Diana asks with a tone of fear in her voice.

" Nothing...we just want to help you," Alex said in a calm tone.

" Well I for one DON'T want to help you!" Said Elias clutching his stomach.

" You can trust us... we're good people and we wouldn't never hurt you," Alex said innocently.

She relaxes and decides to trust them.

" So,this will be our little camp for the night," Alex said happily as they reach their camp.

Diana smiles briefly and sits on a log of wood.

" It's not really much,but...make yourself comfortable," Alex said with a smile.

" Ummm..what happened?" she asks. " I've been trying to remember but it's all fog," she says.

" Uhmm..well,...we ran away from our hometown because it got attacked by shadow knights who were created by the void,my magical book that appears to me sometimes then lead me to your kingdom,we tried to sneak in,you catch us and then you were to eat us,then you locked us up,then we escaped, then we tried to escape,then you changed into a dragon and caught us again,then I somehow freed you from a curse< he said with a light chuckle> then we brought you here,then I revived this forest,then night fell,you woke up,you kicked Elias,you ran,Elias was then in pain,then I woke up,then I chased after you,then it turns out I can run very fast,then Elias caught up to you, you hissed, brought out your bat wings and sent him flying into a tree and brought him more pain< he laughs while he said this>,then I somehow convinced you to trust us and just like that we we're here!," he blabbed and smiled when he finished.

" O...Kay?," Diana said.

Elias walks in clutching his stomach.

" I still can't remember anything... it's still all blank," Diana said.

" Don't worry... I'm sure it's going to hit you one of these days...you just need rest," Alex said sweetly with a smile.

" Oh it's going to hit her alright!," Elias mutters to himself.

" In your very long explanation...you said something about running away," Diana said.

" Oh,yeah. I am a proud citizen of Khaleria. And even though growing up was hard and complicated...and it still is. I know there's much for me to understand;and quite frankly I'm looking forward to it." he said as he sits on the other log. " But..in the process,I lost a very good friend of mine," he said sadly. " And ended up with that goober over there," he tilts his head to Elias who's a bit far from them. He's kicking twigs and stones and complains to himself.

" I'm so sorry to hear that," Diana said with empathy.

" Thank you,for your sympathy," Alex said with a smile.

" Well know that you're hear with us... it's only right you join us on our quest," Alex said.

" What quest?" Diana asked.

" I and Elias are traveling through the kingdom to find The void so that I can stop him," Alex answers.

" You?..." Diana said surprised.

" Yes me!"

" Isn't that for the handsome,big and strong man over there?," she said looking at Elias.

" Elias is a lot of things...but there's no way I'm giving him handsome..or strong as any of those things," he chuckles.

Diana smiles.

" But....with your dragon transformation thingy... it's clear you'll be a great ally," Alex said.

Diana smiles.

" I'll try my best!" Diana assured.

Alex stands up and walks to her. He extends his arms for a handshake.

" Welcome to the team!," Alex said enthusiastically.

She smiles and takes his hand. She stands and they shake.

" it'll be my greatest honor," Diana says nobly.
