31. I'm ready 🧚🏾‍♂️

Feeling a little flustered,he walks upstairs, heading to his room...and that's when he heard chaotic sounds coming from the kitchen. Acting on his instincts, he races to the kitchen...for fear something wrong might be happening.

He reaches the kitchen...his mouth open wide in shock.

“ What in the world?!,” he said,his voice a little high pitched. He meet a round, gigantic,sweaty and almost out of his clothes Alex. He's back flat on the floor,the chefs clinging to the walls.

Alex gobbles a chocolate cake.

“ What have you done to yourself?!,” Elias asked as he walks a little into the kitchen.

“ Oh,hey Elias,” Alex greeted cheerfully and wth satisfaction. His face smudged with different foods and fruits.

Elias looks around the messy kitchen with a shocked expression.

“ I would have turned to you...but it appears I can't move,” Alex said,his facing the ceiling.

“ How can you move when you look like three blobs?!” Elias yelled.

“ I have no idea what a blob is...but I'm gonna take it as a compliment,” Alex said neutrally.

Elias walks to him - avoiding stepping on plates and foods. “ How did so much food fit into your stomach?,” Elias asks as he pokes his belly. It vibrates and spreads the way waves spread on water when you drop a stone in it.

“ hahahaha,” Alex giggles and shakes. “ That tickles,” he smiled.

“ You're so big,” Elias said.

“ I believe that's called progressive growth,” Alex said.

Elias sighs and turns to the chefs behind him.

“ Why did you let him do this to himself?,” Elias said,his thumb pointing backwards at Alex. And Alex tries reaching for a lemon on the kitchen counter in the background.

“ It all happened so fast!,” The chef explained in horror as he un-plasters himself from the wall. “ he was like a ravaging beast!” the chef added. “ I've never seen anyone swallow two whole turkeys!...bones went in...but they didn't come out!

Elias groans and turns to Alex...his hands on his waist.

“ You've only been here for like some minutes...

“ ....Hours” Alex interrupted... putting an apple in his mouth.

Elias sighs..his head goes down. “ Okay,get down, let's get you to your room,” Elias said.

“ I don't think that's possible,” Alex said. “ Pretty sure I'm glued to the kitchen floor,” he added.

Elias groans in frustration...his head tilting back. He tries pushing him.

“ What are you doing?,” Alex asks with an unbothered  expression.

“ I'm trying to roll you over,” Elias said..he grunts as he pushes. But he doesn't budge.

“ Wow...all those muscles and you can't even push me,” Alex teased.

Elias stops pushing for a moment and gives a look.

“ I've always thought those muscles were fake,” Alex said with a straight face.

Elias sighs in exhaustion. “ Isn't there anything that would...move him!”Elias asks the chef.

“ um, perhaps the cherry pepper,” The chef said as he cautiously walks around him to a cupboard. He opens it and pulls a cylindrical container with sparkly brown grinded pepper in it. He walks back cautiously and hands it over to Elias.“ Give him this and all the food he's eaten will immediately digest,” the chef said.

“ Yay! More food,” Alex said cheerfully.

Elias rolls his eyes and sprinkles the pepper into his mouth.

“mmmm,” Alex savored the taste. “ I can see why you call it cherry pepper," Alex said.

Immediately,his stomach rumbles. Elias raises an eyebrow.

“ The cherry pepper has kicked in and he's about to poop out all the food he's eaten,” The chef said.

“ What did you just say?!” Elias yelled.

“ What did he just say?!,” Alex asked In a high voice.

“ And now, simply to leave the kitchen,” The chef walked speed walked out the kitchen along with his fellow cooks.

Elias quickly backs away and heads out the kitchen.

“ This is so going to be embarrassing,” Alex said

And a large pop sound is heard.

“ and he has answered nature's call,” the chef said calmly. “ Also, I'm gonna need a new kitchen,” he said with pursed lips.

Alex rests his back on his bed has he sits on the floor... taking in deep breaths because of exhaustion. His clothes finally changed.

Elias sits on a chair and faces him.

“ I will never eat like that again,” Alex said with lowly in exhaustion...his eyes closed.

Elias chuckles. “ You should have thought of that before scaring me and the chefs,” Elias said with a smile as he rubs his hands together.

Alex chuckles. “ ooh,” he groans and rubs his stomach.

“ But...time for serious talk,” Elias says as he smile fades..his face forming into a serious one.

Alex adjusts himself.

“ You still have a job to do,” Elias said with a serious face.

“ What job?,” Alex said with a confused face.

“ Uh...to save the world?,” Elias reminded with squinted eyes.

“ Oh,right, we're still doing that,” Alex remembered.

“ Did you forget that the world's on the brink of darkness!?,” Elias asked in a high voice.

“ Nooooooo” he tried lying. Elias tilts his head and stares at him blankly. “.... yess..I forgot for some minutes,” Alex said.

Elias blinks in confusion.

“ Brushing past that.... Diana and I,along with Sir Azure... whatever his last name is”

“ It's knight”

“ You can remember that but not that you have a world to save?”

Alex opens his mouth to speak..but realizes that Elias has a point and holds his tongue.

“ Now that we're in a pretty secure place... it's best if we started your training,” Elias says.

Alex nods in agreement.

“ So, we've decided that we'll give you some days of rest before you start intensive training,” Elias said.

“ Okay.But there's no need for a few days rest,” Alex says. “ The world is out of time. I'm needed and I'm needed fast. It's best if we start tomorrow,” Alex said.

Elias smiles proudly. “ Ned would be proud,” he says with a smile.

Alex smiles...he even almost tears up.

“ I'm ready,” Alex said with confidence.
