Chapter 43

Red and Chloe go to Black Lagoon. Uliana's crew stomps past them. They don't seem to see Red and Chloe because they're distracted by Uliana's singing.

"I'm fierce, I'm feared, you know I'm the baddest here. Pull up with my crew? Boohoo," she sings, pretending like she's crying. "You'll be wiping up more than a puddle of tears."

"My competition? Call her Urs(ula), but her curses ain't the worst," she continues. "I got potions, evil spells to turn your life from bad to worse."

All of the V's say "HUH," very aggressively and walk away. Red and Chloe follow them and join the group like Red did in the first song with the guards in Wonderland.

"Then there's that desperate girl, comin' for me tryin' to mess with my world. Well villainous is how I live, she'll regret messin' with the wrong sea witch 'cause I got a lifetime of vengeance I'm savage to the bone and anyone who crosses me gonna wish they were never born!"

The V's skip into a giant angler fish that I guess Ursula must have dragged up for them from the midnight zone because she'd probably be capable of that.

Red and Chloe hesitate for a minute before following them inside the big dead fish. Luckily because of this, they miss the "Perfect Revenge" part of the song.

"Any suggestions?" Uliana asks the V's as she dangles from a spiderweb of her own tentacles.

Hook balances on his balance beam. Uliana brought it in for him when she learned about his dream of being a gymnast. He became evil after losing his hand and his place on the school's gymnastics team because of it. He almost gave up, but Uliana encouraged him to become even better than before, and so he kept practicing every day. "Well why don't you make her walk the plank?" he suggests.

"Darling, that's too easy," Uliana replies.

Malaficint stands somewhere unimpressively. "Prick her with a thousand thorns," she says in a weird voice with her weird hands.

"And what, she'll fall asleep?" Uliana asks. She imagines that being pricked a thousand times would grow boring very quickly, and Bridget would just fall asleep. But Malaughicent misinterpreted it and got an idea to use on her classmate's new baby.

Hades finally looks up from his phone and ignites his hair. Chloe wonders if hers could do that too. "We could burn her to a crisp," he sings. Mama G's spirit suddenly understood where Mal got her singing abilities from after seeing Teen Maleficent.

Morgie jumps out from far away. "Yeah let's burn her to a crisp!" he cheers. He likes eating crisps, and the angler fish's vending machine had recently run out.

"No guys it has to be worse!" Uliana cries. "Revenge should be vicious, and whatever we do to that poor, unfortunate soul should be ten times more cruel." 

Red and Chloe tune out the next part until Uliana conjures an image of a cook book and explains her plan of baking a dessert that will turn Bridget into a monster.

"Let's go," Red tells Chloe. They leave the angler fish and go somewhere to discuss.

"So we need to find some way to keep Bridget from being cursed during Castlecoming," Chloe says.

"Should we try to find the cook book?" Red asks. Chloe shakes her head.

"That wouldn't make any sense," she says. "First, there has to be multiple copies of the book they could find. Second, if they don't get the book, that doesn't stop them from doing some other revenge. And third, the book is protected by a spell to keep evil people out, so they can't get it anyway."

"Oh okay," Red says.

"We should just stay with Bridget and make sure they don't curse her," Chloe decides.

Red nods. "Then I guess we're going to Castlecoming."
