I'd almost forgotten about Prince Ben. Despite being so stupid, he would definitely notice the lack of Mal's decapitation.

The next day as I was eating my string cheese in the cafeteria, he entered.

"Fe fi fo fum," he grumbled. "I smell a missing prisoner." He set the dogs loose, and Carlos cried and ran into a tree.

"This thing is a killer!" he expressed. "He's gonna chase me down and rip out my throat. This is a vicious, rabid pack animal!"

Ben ran over to him. "Hey, who told you that? Cruella? Carlos, you've never actually met a dog, have you? Dude, meet Carlos. Carlos, this is dude. He's the campus mutt. I guess you guys have it pretty rough on the island. Good boy. I mean, you're a good runner. You're... you're fast, you know. Yeah. Listen, I'm gonna give you guys some space, yeah? You guys get to know each other and just, you know, come find me when you're done, okay. I'll see you later."

Ben walked away as the dogs tore Carlos to shreds. Sand sighed and worked with Aria to cart him off to the enchanted lake. The dogs continued searching for Mal.

"Found her!" they said to Ben, and he ran in like a happy little puppy.

"I got you! I got you!" he exclaimed gleefully as they tied her up in chains and put a muzzle over her mouth.

"Aw, man," she complained.

I ran over to Ben and put myself between them. "Hey! We don't have to choose. We don't have to light the fuse. Mal, whatever you do it's gonna be a lose-lose, there's gotta be a better way. Ben-a, I promise I'll give you your chance, you'll have your say."

"Silly Mama G!" Ben said. "You? Give me? You're gonna give me a chance? Well not a chance!"

"Guys this is supposed to be for the next movie!" Jay whined, but we didn't listen to him. Ben wanted to take both of us to the dungeon, but he decided that sending two of his high school classmates to jail and eventually death for me not wanting to go out with him was a bit too extreme.

"Wait!" a girl descended from the ceiling, and it was Audrey! "Give me your kingdom!"

"Why?" Ben asked. He raised one eyebrow in specialness.

Audrey ripped off her wig, revealing white hair. "I'm your girlfriend," she declared. Ben accepted this response.

"Guards, take Mal back to the dungeon," he declared.

"No!!!" Mal called. "Don't give her the kingdom!" But her words were lost as a hundred and one rats descended upon her.
