Mal and Evie and I decided to not look for Doug and just find our rooms instead. We found the dorm hallway pretty quickly, and we just kept walking until we found a room someone had decorated with skulls and fake spiderwebs.

"Huh," Evie said. "I thought a princess school would have better decoroations."

I read the nameplate on the door. "No way," I said. "I'll share a room with Mal, but I'm not staying in the same room as Evie."

Mal kicked open the door and marched in. "This room is hideous," she said.

"I totally agree, Mal," Evie said.

Now it was lunch time, and we had to eat off of talking plates. So far, I hadn't seen Ben. That night, I was going to wake up Mal and track down where his family sleeps. Then we could rule together forever.

Ben walked in at that moment, followed by ten photographers asking questions.

"Guys, stop it," he said, and they went away after Fairy Godmother threatened to turn them into spiders and murder their families.

Ben grabbed a fig from the table and ate it, not having time for lunch. He waved to everyone and left. Seven people fell over as an effect of his momentary presence.

"Ew," Mal said. I wholeheartedly agreed with Mal, and we sat down in a corner of the cafeteria. We usually ate trash at the Isle, but what they were serving to the students looked worse than what we were used to. Everything was colored pink with toxic coloring, and I couldn't bare to think about the kind of chemicals I would be putting in my body. Mal and I both dug around in a garbage bin until we found something to eat. As expected, Evie sat at the table waiting for us to do the hard work before taking a share of our food. I was hating Evie more and more by the minute.
