Chapter 50

I shot up from my coma. I should figure out why I kept doing that. Who really knows though when it comes to Disney. Maybe it meant someday I'd wake up to find a handsome prince. I hoped so. It was hard raising Mommy J as a single mother, but I was managing while going to school at the same time. Once I graduated, I'd be able to find a steady job to make a good life for the both of us. Until then, I'd just have to keep relying on my mother even though she had a life sentence in the worst prison in the world for kidnapping and child abuse. But I was just doing the best I could, and that's what counted.

I realized that I was at some sort of ceremony in Auradon. That must mean I hadn't been in a coma very long, probably just a few minutes. A lady dressed all in red stood up.

"I'm so bored of this event!" she said in a british accent. "I want to play my favorite game. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!"

Everyone gasped and whispered and things of fright. The lady who had been sitting beside her stood up.

"Bridget, we've talked about this," she said. "If you get bored, you can sit and play solitaire quietly by yourself. War is a two person game."

"Sorry Ella, I forgot," she said. She looked at Uma. "Carry on." She shuffled her deck of cards and started distributing them out for solitaire.

"As I was saying," Uma continued, "My name is Uma. You can probably recall that from my three minute performance. Uh so anyway, at Auradon Prep, we learn Goodness and... that's kind of it that's the only class I know about at this school. You guys can applaud now."

Everyone did so and then filed out, making sure to grab forms to register for this fine establishment.

"So, what do you think, Red?" Ella asked. "Are you ready to try real school like your sister?"

Red, presumably the girl dressed all in red, looked confused. "Uh yeah. Yeah that sounds good."

Bridget bent over beside Red. "Good choice. I don't think there's anything else I can teach you."

"We went through all the same classes, B," Ella said, laughing. "You can't remember a single thing from senior year?"

Bridget protested, but Red spoke up.

"Wait, where's Chloe?" she asked.

"She's at home, remember?" Bridget said.

"I have to talk to her," Red said. "Um about going to school. I'm really excited."

"Alright, as soon as we get the forms, we'll head back to Wonderland first thing," Ella promised.

The old song "Shuffle of Love" came on next in the playlist, and Ella and Bridget gasped and left the line to dance. Red groaned and chased after them.

I sat, looking around. I wondered what it would be like for the new students here. I'd had four movies worth of adventures, and I was unconscious for like two of them. Maybe the next generation would get to have some as well. More magic, more raps, and more decapitations. Until then, I'd just have to wait. At the waiting room in the hospital to see if I could figure out why I kept going into comas. It probably wasn't good for my health.

The end.
