Third person's pov!

Vaiga's heart pounded as she stood frozen, unable to believe her eyes. Shiva - no, Shivram Iyer, the new Assistant Professor of Economics - was standing before her.

He was as handsome as ever, with an air of authority and charisma that drew the students in immediately.

"Good morning, everyone," Shiva began, his voice smooth and commanding. "My name is Shivram Iyer, and I will be your new Assistant Professor for Economics. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and making this semester as engaging and informative as possible."

The class buzzed with excitement. The girl students, enamoured by his looks and demeanour, began to ask questions one after the other.

"Where are you from, Sir?" One of them asked eagerly.

"I am from Thanjavur," Shiva replied with a polite smile. "But I have travelled quite a bit for my studies and all."

"What's your favourite part of teaching?" Another student inquired.

"I enjoy the interaction with students," Shiva said thoughtfully. "It's rewarding to see you all grow and develop your understanding of the subject."

"Do you have any hobbies?" A third student chimed in.

"I enjoy travelling, and playing chess," Shiva answered, his eyes briefly flicking to Vaiga, who was desperately trying to avoid his gaze.

Then came the question that made Vaiga's heart skip a beat.

"Are you married, Sir?"

Shiva went silent for a moment, his eyes locking onto Vaiga's.

"Any other questions, guys?" He asked softly. In his heart, he was married to Vaiga.

Vaiga sucked in a sharp breath, the room seeming to close in around her. The look in Shiva's eyes was one of love, a look she had once cherished but now filled her with dread. It was not the look of hatred he had given her when he believed she had cheated on him. This was a look that spoke of old feelings and unresolved emotions.

For the first time in her life, the love she saw in his eyes didn't make her heart jump with joy. Instead, her heart plummeted in fear. She didn't know why he was here, but she had a premonition that whatever he came for wasn't good news.

Throughout the class, Vaiga avoided looking at him, focusing intently on her notebook. However, she could feel Shiva's eyes on her, unwavering.

Shiva, on the other hand, couldn't take his eyes off her. She seemed even more beautiful than before, glowing in a way he had never seen during their marriage. His heart ached, realising he had never made her glow like this.

Shiva spent his first class engaging in casual conversation with the students, creating a good rapport with them. The students took an instant liking to the new professor, charmed by his demeanour and looks.

"Bhabhi, if he keeps this up, Abhi bhai will mess him up," Laya whispered in Vaiga's ear, startling her out of her own scary thoughts.

"What? I didn't understand," Vaiga said in confusion.

"Shiva Sir has been staring at you the whole time. I think it's love at first sight for him," Laya whispered with a giggle.

Vaiga paled and looked up only to find Shiva's eyes still on her. Panic rose within her. She worried about rumours spreading in the college and the thought of Abhay finding out made her heart race. Shiva had loved her once, but he had failed to trust her. And Abhay seemed to burn hot and cold; she didn't know how he would take it all.
