Third person's pov!

The soft, rhythmic sound of the cradle swaying filled the quiet room as baby Vidyut slept peacefully. His tiny chest rose and fell with each gentle breath, his little fist curled around the edge of his baby blanket. The late afternoon sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm, golden glow over the bedroom. Abhay stood by the cradle, watching his son with a tender smile.

He turned his gaze towards Vaiga, who was seated on the bed, flipping through an album of baby Kriti's photos. Her face glowed with the contentment of motherhood, her eyes occasionally darting to Vidyut in the cradle and Krit on the floor with her toys, as she looked at the photographs. Abhay's heart swelled with love for her, for the little family they had built together.

Unable to resist, Abhay made his way over to Vaiga, slipping behind her on the bed and wrapping his arms around her waist. He nuzzled her neck, placing a soft kiss just below her ear.

"Hey, beautiful," he murmured, his voice low and intimate.

Vaiga smiled, leaning back into his embrace.

"Hey, yourself," she replied, tilting her head to give him better access to her neck. "He fell asleep, didn't he?"

"Mmm-hmm," Abhay hummed in agreement, his lips brushing against her skin.

"And you are growing more beautiful by the day, Vaiga."

Vaiga felt a flutter in her chest at his words. She turned her head slightly to meet his gaze, their faces just inches apart.

"You always know the right things to say, don't you?" Vaiga teased.

Abhay grinned, his eyes twinkling mischievously.

"It's one of my many talents," he teased, leaning in to capture her lips in a soft, lingering kiss.

"Well, apparently you were the college hero, weren't you. I wonder how you perfected the talent." Vaiga said with a mock frown and Abhay smiled cheekily and leaned in for another kiss.

Just as Vaiga started to respond, a small but determined figure toddled towards them. Baby Kriti, dressed in a tiny yellow frock, noticed her parents together, and she made a beeline for them.

Abhay and Vaiga pulled apart just in time to see Kriti climb onto the bed, her eyes wide with suspicion as she looked at her father. Without a word, she crawled up to Vaiga, pushing Abhay away with surprising force for such a little one. She wrapped her chubby arms around Vaiga's neck, clinging to her like a baby koala.

"Hey!" Abhay protested, feigning hurt as he was unceremoniously pushed aside. "What's this about, Kriti? Can't Dada get a little love too?"

But Kriti wasn't having any of it. She glared at her father with a ferocity that belied her age, her tiny hands clutching Vaiga possessively.

"My Mmmaaa," she declared, her voice firm and unwavering.

Abhay sighed in exasperation, though he couldn't help but smile at his daughter's determination.

"That's my wife, young lady," he said, his tone playful yet serious. "I have the first right over her."

Kriti tightened her hold on Vaiga, her little face scrunching up in defiance.

"My Mmmaaa," she repeated, more adamant this time.

Vaiga chuckled, her heart melting at the sight of her daughter's fierce possessiveness. She gently stroked Kriti's back, soothing her as she looked over at Abhay.

"Looks like you have got some competition, Mr. Agnihotri," she teased.

Abhay's eyes narrowed playfully as he leaned in closer, wrapping an arm around Vaiga and pulling her towards him.

"She may be your Mamma, but she is my wife," he said, his voice a low rumble.

Kriti let out a wail of protest, her little fists curling as she punched Abhay's shoulder with all the strength she could muster. Abhay winced, though he knew the punch was more bark than bite.

Before he could say anything else, the soft whimper of Vidyut echoed from the cradle. The little one had woken up, disturbed by his sister's cry.

"Great. Just great," Abhay muttered as he reluctantly pulled away from Vaiga and walked over to the cradle. He juggled the cradle gently, trying to soothe Vidyut back to sleep.

Meanwhile, Vaiga tried to comfort Kriti, who was still clinging to her as if her life depended on it.

"Kriti, darling, Dada just wants to hug Momma," she said softly, though her words seemed to have little effect on the determined toddler.

Abhay glanced back at them, only to see Kriti giving Vaiga slobbery kisses all over her face. Vaiga laughed, the sound filling the room with warmth and love. Abhay couldn't help but smile, despite his earlier frustration. This was his family, chaotic as it may be, and he wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Finally, after a few moments of rocking, Vidyut settled back into sleep. Abhay let out a sigh of relief and turned back to the bed, where Vaiga was still being showered with kisses from Kriti.

Abhay returned to the bed, this time laying down beside Vaiga and Kriti, propping himself up on one elbow as he watched the scene unfold. Kriti, satisfied that she had properly staked her claim, finally settled into Vaiga's lap, her head resting against her mother's chest.

Abhay reached over and gently stroked Kriti's hair.

"You are so bossy, you know that?" He said with a chuckle.

Kriti glanced up at him and ignored him before she cuddled back into Vaiga, her thumb finding its way into her mouth.

Vaiga smiled, leaning down to place a kiss on Kriti's head.

"She is just like you," she whispered to Abhay, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

"Like me? I am not that clingy." Abhay raised an eyebrow, pretending to be offended.

"Oh, really? You just tried to claim me in front of our daughter, didn't you? You were fighting with an eighteen month old baby over me." Vaiga laughed softly.

Abhay shrugged, a playful grin tugging at his lips.

"I suppose you are right. But can you blame me? We have only been married for just over a year and I already have two little competitors now."
