Third person's pov!
The Agnihotri family had gathered for a cosy dinner at a quaint, family-friendly restaurant. The atmosphere buzzed with laughter and chatter as the group settled around a large table. Vaiga cradled baby Vidyut in her arms while Kriti, seated in her high chair, babbled away in her baby language, capturing everyone's attention.
"Mmmaaammmmaaa...apple! Peash?" Kriti's tiny voice rang out as she pointed at a plate of sliced apples on the table. Her little face was animated, her eyes wide with excitement as she tried to grab everyone's attention.
"Here you go, my little angel." Anjana smiled at her granddaughter, reaching over to hand her a slice.
Kriti accepted the apple slice with both hands, her eyes lighting up.
"Tankoo, Dadi!" She chirped, her words still adorably jumbled but understandable enough to melt hearts.
Drishti, seated next to Shravan, leaned in closer to Kriti.
"Kriti, what else do you want to eat? Maybe some chicken?" Drishti asked, smacking her lips dramatically.
"Chickaa!" Kriti repeated, clapping her chubby hands together. "Chicka, chickaa, chickaa!"
Everyone chuckled at her enthusiasm, amused by her antics. Vaiga, rocking Vidyut gently in her arms, couldn't help but smile at her daughter's energy.
"She's really growing up fast," Vaiga said softly, her eyes filled with affection.
Abhay, seated beside Vaiga, reached over to brush a stray lock of hair from Kriti's face.
"She is," he murmured, his voice laced with love.
As the family enjoyed their meal, a familiar face approached their table. Nilima, an old friend of Anjana, walked up with a warm smile. The same woman whom they met over a year ago, whose innocent words hard triggered Abhay into getting drunk.
"Anjana, what a lovely surprise to see you all here!" Nilima exclaimed happily.
Anjana turned to greet her friend, rising from her seat to exchange a hug.
"Nilima! How are you?"
Nilima's gaze swept over the table, her eyes landing on Vaiga and the baby in her arms. She cooed softly, her maternal instincts kicking in.
"Oh my, what a beautiful baby!" She leaned closer, taking in Vidyut's tiny features. "He looks just like..."
She caught herself before she could finish the sentence and say 'he looks just like Abhay', remembering the last time she had mentioned how Kriti looked like Vaiga. The memory of Abhay's sharp response made her reconsider. Instead, she focused on Vaiga, her mind working through the connections. She knew Vaiga was close to the Agnihotri family, but something didn't add up.
"When was the wedding, Anjana?" Nilima asked, her curiosity piqued. "Siddhu and Vaiga look so beautiful together."
Since the baby looks like Abhay, she thought maybe Vaiga got married to Abhay's younger brother.
A brief silence fell over the table as Nilima's words sank in. Abhay's eyebrows shot up, and he couldn't help but frown at the misunderstanding. He reached over and gently pulled Vaiga's chair closer to him, wrapping an arm around her shoulder possessively.
"It's me!" Abhay declared with a grin. "I married Vaiga. And this," he added, nodding towards the baby in Vaiga's arms, "is our son. Vidyut Dev Agnihotri."
Nilima's eyes widened in surprise as she realised her mistake. She gaped at Abhay, processing the information while everyone else around the table burst into laughter.
