The rest of their time at Pogo's remained stiff and mildly uncomfortable after the effects of the well-needed booze and cheap cigarettes wore off. Y/N was almost thankful when she and Five finally bid their goodbyes and left the stuffy camper to get back on the road, a new piece of vital information at their hands. It seemed as if Reginald was a bad guy in any timeline they found themselves stranded in.

Y/N drove the motorcycle back to the Hotel Obsidian, where a flustered and slightly disoriented Five sat at the back trying to distract himself from the pain of the freshly inked tattoo by looking at the road ahead over the girl's shoulder. He never wanted to get out of the countryside so fast.

Arriving at the hotel, they were concerned to hear that the devastations of yet another Kugel wave occurred right during their small road trip and this time, a member a little closer to the family had been sucked into the growing black hole.

"Stanley?" Y/N whispered, her eyes searching Lila's widened and frantic ones as the brown-skinned woman ran around the room, flipping over the mattresses, and pulling back the curtains. Although Diego had known Stanley for a very limited time, he was also in a state of panic as he knocked on the walls for hollow spots and kicked aside the thrown comforters to look for his alleged offspring.

"What the hell are you doing?" Lila bellowed, slamming the door shut as she pushed Y/N aside to face Diego. "Stanley is gone! We need to face this!"

"Just check the chimney, alright?" Diego retorted, peering under the frame of the bed.

"He's not in the bloody chimney! He's been Kugelblitzed!"

Y/N rolled her eyes as Diego pushed the mattress down in aggravation, speedily walking up to Lila as they engaged in another heated disagreement. They were acting like their clothes weren't sprawled all over the floor when she and Five had walked in...

The girl turned over to an oddly silent Five, who had been surveying a peculiar mantelpiece connected to the wall above the record player. She loomed over his shoulder, gaining his attention as he shot her a brief side glance, before shooting an annoyed huff in the direction of the fighting couple.

"And whose fault is that, huh? You're the one who brought him here," Diego seethed, the vein in his neck tightening at every word.

"Congratulations!" Five piped in, handing everyone a tight smile at the diverted attention. "You're both mildly terrible parents! Can we focus? Come on. How did this thing open before?"

"I don't know, it was already kinda open," Diego answered speedily, brisking across the room.

"'Already kinda open'" Y/N mocked in a high pitch, rolling her eyes. "I'm loving the specifications, Diego."

"He should've been an engineer," Five t'sked from beside her, his hands borrowed in his pockets as he sent her an amused smirk. "It's a lost opportunity."

Y/N grinned and shook her head lightly, crossing her arms as she looked back up at the glowing circular trapdoor in intrigue.

"Why'd you wanna go in there anyway?" Lila inquired, observing her curiosity. "It's just sushi and death."

"When we met future me in the Commission bunker, I warned myself about Oblivion. Now, Pogo told me--"

"Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa," Diego interrupted, suddenly appearing behind Y/N at the mention of the chimpanzee. "Pogo's alive?"

"Different Pogo, but essentially, yes," the girl answered, pursing her lips.

She had almost forgotten that the last time most of the Umbrella Academy had seen Pogo was far earlier, when Vanya had pinned him up to the wall and skewered him like a kebab on a metal stick. The Pogo from their timeline had inevitably gone done with the rest of the rubble only hours before the end of the world.
