"Is this your first time?"

The boy hovered over her, both of his arms propped up on either side of her head as he stared down at the elegantly dressed girl beneath him, awaiting her answer. He bent down to kiss the side of her jaw, slowly trailing down to her neck as she hummed in satisfaction, her long locks of hair ticking his cheek.

"Not at all," Y/N smirked, opening her eyes.

The boy retracted and mirrored her smile as he laid next to the girl with a pout of mock offense, his lean body messing up the pristine white sheets of the bed. "Well that's too bad. I wanted this to be special."

"It is special, in a way," Y/N retorted, her pink lips curling in amusement as the boy beside her perked up in curiosity.

"How?"

"It's special because..." Y/N leaned closer, tilting her head as she stared back into the entranced expression he held as his eyes flickered down to her plumped lips. Their lips almost brushed, exchanging the ghost of a touch before Y/N retracted, her eyes suddenly going dark. "You're under arrest for the illegal transfer of arms into a classified warzone."

The boy's daze was broken at once and his eyes widened in alarm at the sudden accusation. "What?"

Suddenly, the door was kicked down, and several cops flooded into the hotel room, their guns pointed up at the suspect as they detained him and read his rights, fitting him into cuffs in a swift movement. Y/N watched in silence as the boy stuttered and pleaded, offering to pay for their silence as they pulled him out of the room and into the back of their cars.

Y/N stood up from her spot on the bed, straightening her dress in an attempt to look less disheveled as the lead detective strolled up to her, an impressed grin sprawled under the depths of his scruffy beard.

"Nice work, Jenkins. We've been after that bastard for months. It's good to see he's finally going behind bars."

The girl offered him a tight smile as she slipped her feet into the heels that were left abandoned by the side of the bed and fitted herself into her long wool coat. She thanked the detective before making her way out of the hotel, walking back to the run down apartment she was able to find for herself as she tightened the fabric around her body.

Y/N was feeling a little bothered after the events of the mission, and she wasn't quite sure what it was seeing as these kind of tactics were ones she had used numerous times over the course of her occupation. There was something oddly sensual and intimate about it, and even though he was a target, he had been her longest relationship since before getting stuck in the past. She wondered why she was so caught up in the fakeness of it, but these days her feelings weren't something she would prefer getting involved in.

After her endeavor with Reginald, she was more self-aware, more conscious. The humiliation she'd suffered from that day prompted her not to allow her overwhelming emotions sound her actions and cloud her mind. The new mindset wasn't working as well as she initially hoped it would, but now that she was in the past for so long, she learnt that some things just took a little time to smooth over.

With a retired sigh, Y/N swung open the door to her bedroom, throwing her badge onto the dresser and flopping onto the cold sheets instantly, awaiting a well-deserved slumber.

A bright blue ball of light illuminated the empty alley as Five Hargreeves dropped onto the hard concrete floor with a heavily pained grunt. The boy stood up, his clothes dusted and disheveled while he held his jaw in pain of landing face-first.
