The room was dark, yet cozy, with the midday sunlight seeming through the closed blinds and the antique decor characterizing the open room. There were two twin beds on one side of the room and a small lounge with a sleep-able couch in the middle.
"Not too shabby," Y/N hummed, flopping on the bed. She winced as the bed frame creaked from the addition of her weight. "Never mind."
"It's definitely ugly," Vanya added, sitting at her feet.
"Feels like we're still stuck in the sixties," Allison said, rolling onto the other twin bed.
They all sighed, looking up at the ceiling as a comfortable silence enveloped the three sisters.
"Last night, I was sleeping in my own bed next to my amazing husband," Allison muttered, furrowing her brows at the thought of Ray.
"I kissed Sissy goodbye a few hours ago. Give it take 50 years."
Vanya's voice cracked and Y/N turned her head to look at the sober expression on her face.
"I'm sorry Vanya," she whispered, laying on her side. "You finally found someone who treated you right and me and Five just...I don't know, kept you from her."
"She saw me for who I really am," Vanya said, shaking her head. "I guess I wasn't ready to give that up. Hell, I'm still not ready."
Vanya looked over to Y/N who stared at her with a pained smile. She placed her hands over Y/N's and gave it a reassuring squeeze, telling the teenager that she was forgiven.
"I feel the same about Ray," Allison said. "We better not have left them just to die in some superhero turf war."
"You need to go home. Hug your daughter."
Y/N slowly nodded her head in agreement, thinking about the young Claire that Allison was separated from. She couldn't imagine how it was being away from her daughter for so long.
From across the room, Allison sat up in her bed, a sudden realization coming to her head as she stared at Vanya and Y/N.
"What if Diego's right and the Sparrows attack?"
"Cmon Allison. We fought off the entire Commission," Y/N scoffed, reminded by the soreness from the attack.
"We can handle seven jerks in uniforms. They just caught us off guard today."
Allison raised an eyebrow before looking down, her concern decreasing from their assurance.
"You should go to the airport," Y/N suggested, sitting up and leaning against the headboard. "Get back to your real life."
Allison looked up at her, a little shocked, and a little more confused.
"I would if I could," Vanya said.
Y/N pursed her lips, watching as Allison stood from her spot on her bed and opened her arms out for a hug. Vanya returned it hugging her tight and Allison smiled, opening her eyes to look at Y/N.
"Thank you. Both of you. You're good sisters."
Y/N grinned, throwing her hair over her shoulder sassily. "It only takes saving the world twice."
