Toyama

"Toyama." Haruki comes up to me as I fix my shirt collar. "Where are you going, you packed a small bag, where-"
"I'm going to see my mother this weekend, just to stay the weekend, work has been slow I've been given days off." I replied. "Besides, it's been some time since I've seen her."
"That must be nice." He sat on my bed. "I miss you, Shima."
"I just needed some space, Haruki," I told him. "I have a lot on my mind, especially for the last year."
"I understand." He says. Here he goes, trying to make me feel upset. "Don't leave me with Amano please, he sucks at everything."
"Oh come on, he's better now."

"Shima, eat, my boy." My step father says to me as we're all having dinner.
"It's so good that you're able to stay for the weekend , away from work." My mother says.
"It was a big easy to get this vacation though, work has been slow." I said. "My leader hasn't woken up yet, there is no progress of her yet."
"What about your teammates?" My mom asked. "You could invite them over for dinner as well, even spend the night, they seem like good people, any new people you know?"
"There is this one guy in my squad though, he's my leader's brother." I brought up Haruki.
"Oh, I think I know his name, uh Haruhi or something?" My mom tries to think.
"Haruki." I corrected her. "He's just a friend of mine, though." I said to her.
"Oh come on now, Haru, you can't hide secrets from us anymore, we know." She says to me, knowing that I don't want to marry a woman. "Invite him over, we don't mind guests."
"Yeah, no thanks." I told her.

I went to workout after I ate dinner, and then trained with my swords. My father was the one who bought me the swords that I originally used to train for the CCG. He was a man who loved traditional things, honour, the past, from what my mother told me. He was a man who would buy traditional swords and would use them for fun. He was a man who tried to defend his family from ghouls, but died before the CCG was able to come. That's why I became a peace officer. I don't hate ghouls, I have friends that are ghouls, however, ghouls that hurt my family, and humans that hurt my family, will be sliced.

"Shima Toyama, sixteen years old, I am grateful to be apart of this class and in hopes to become a new peace officer like you all." I said to the class. After a ton of begging and pleading to become a peace officer, my mother finally decided that in order for me to be happy, I would get my wish to attend the Academy at TSC. I was only one of the twenty humans in the class of forty, as most of them were ghoul orphans.
"Do you have any goals you want to achieve?" My teacher gave me a question.
"I want to avenge my father."
"What can you do, Toyama?" My teacher asked me.
"I am a master at swordship." I told him.
"Swords?" A kid asked me. "That'll never lead you to anything."
"Really?" I replied. I pulled out my swords. "My father gifted me these swords, I've been training for six years when they were given to me."
"Then show us, kid." My teacher said to me. We all head to the training room, and someone gets out a big fruit.
"Can you throw this and cut it?" They asked me.
"Well, let me try." I said to them. They threw the fruit, to which I pulled out my swords and slashed it as quick as I can. I was able to cut the fruit perfectly in half.
"He really did it!" A kid pointed at it.

"You're a swordsman, right?" My teacher came up to me after class, as I was busy cleaning the juice off of my sword.
"Yes, I am." I answered back. "These were my father's swords, I wanted to train with them, and become a great peace officer because of him."
"However, I think you can become an even greater officer if you're trained by Ms. Aura." He told me. "She specialized in that field when she was an investigator."
Since that day, I would train with her on the weekends off. We would train every weekend for two years straight, she would give me pieces and lessons on different types of fighting, how to defend yourself, and her ways of how she became the first woman special class investigator. I admired her greatly, she was like a mother to me, willing to understand who I was and my situation. Two years have gone by, and I was given an offer.
"Please wait." The lady says to me as I sat down.
"Hello, Mr. Toyama!"a woman came into the room. She had long black hair, wore a striped button down shirt with a thick oversized sweater, black pants and boots. "You have been selected to be apart of my new squad!" She sat down. "I am Reina Marude, your leader."
"Squad?" I asked her. "I'm already graduating early with my class, what's this for?"
"It's a little experiment I'm trying with Peacekeeper Nagachika, we're doing a thing where we put many different people in a group altogether, humans and ghouls, hell even a quinx." She explained it to me. "And you already know me, the one eyed ghoul niece of the director, I'm the one that's in charge of it, so, you willing to accept my offer?" It took me a minute. This jolly lady, full of optimism who really thinks a squad combined of every species in the world thinks we'd get along. Hell, it makes me intrigued to say the least.
"I'll gladly take your offer, Ms. Marude." I tell her.
"Oh goodie!" She smirked. "I was worried you'd say no and that would've been really awkward."

I heard a knock at my door.
"Open up!" The voice said. I went to the door and there he was, Haruki.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" I said, surprised.
"Your mom invited me over, she went through your phone and got my number, she realized how lonely you've been, so she knew to call me." He smiled.
"Haruki.." I said to him.
"Besides, I know my sister being under that coma has put stress on all of us, me too, but, I really like you Haruki, and I missed you, dude." He says. "What were you doing, anyway, were you training with your swords-" he asked me as I grabbed him and pulled him in for a hug.
"Thank you." I smiled. "Thank you for making me feel comfortable with myself."

Kishimoto

"Oh we meet again, Jirou." Sora Mahiko says to me as she comes around me. "I really missed seeing your beautiful face and your beautiful body."
"Please get off of me." I told her.
"Awh, you missed me don't you?"
"No, I don't like an old bitch who takes advantage of others."
"Oh I hate you." She said to me as she pushed me. Arita goes to attack her but Sora pulls out her kagune and pushes her away.
"ARITA!" I shouted at her. "Where the hell is Naito?" I thought to myself, she disappeared for an hour into this. Suddenly, I hear a loud boom and Naito is coming out of a hole in the wall.
"Sorry about that, Jirou, got my hands busy!" She shouted to me. "I even got this girl for us!" She grabs Kira out of the rubble. "Didn't kill her or anything, but she is coming with us."
"You devil child, leave Miss Kira alone, she's had a bad day!" Sora shouts at her, detached her kagune, and launched herself at her. I run towards Arita, making sure she was okay.
"Kaito, are you okay?" I asked her.
"That hag pushed me so hard." She gets up. "But I'm okay." She assured me. "I'm sorry, I don't know how to control my kagune yet still, this whole mission-"
"I understand you." I interrupted. "You handled a ton of the Oslo members though, you got a decent amount and the dragon orphans there are, it's only a matter of time before you officially gain control of it." I explained. "This whole entire time when I was gone with Oslo, I became a different person, I don't know why, but I just feel like a monster, I wasn't ready for this to be the life I wanted, I never even asked to become a ghoul during that war, but, I know for certain, everything that I do, I will do it for this team, and us."
"You are so pathetic, Jirou." I hear that voice behind me, accompanied by slow clapping. "It's funny really, you abandoned me after we transformed, and went to join the peacekeepers and that stupid organization because you couldn't handle the changes in your life." Satoru said to me.
"I wanted to change, you wanted to use your new ghoul self for harm." I walked up to him. "These past two years, I thought you really were going to leave this place and join us."
"Jirou, what is he talking about?" Kaito asked me.
"Aren't we both good at lying, brother?"
