Kaito's POV
"What do you mean we can't find her?" Hide asks me.
"Last time we saw her, she was in her kakuja state." I told him. "She spiraled, she was talking in this weird tone."
"We found her brother, Haruki, we can bring her back with him." Jirou tells him. Hide sits down at the stool, and rips of his mask.
"Sir, we're sorry." I told him.
"Where is every one else?" Jirou asks him.
"They are at the building." He lifts his head up, showing his scars. "Reina did not care about my scars because other people thought they were scary, she only cared if I was nice or not and if I liked to read." He says.
"Sir, you consider her family, is that right?" I give an off smile.
"I guess you can say that." He smirks. "The first time I met her, she had this aura about her, she was jolly, full of life, but I knew she was troubled." He talks about her. "She reminded me of Kaneki."
"Good morning, Haruki." I said as I got into his interrogation room. "You finally put your hair up." I pointed out. "We have a member of our squad with long hair, I tolerate him somewhat."
"I know you have been interrogated several times by our members, but I didn't have the chance, because probably, I'm considered the closest to Reina, as we've worked together many times." I sat down. "That guy with the long hair is nice." He whispers.
"Toyama, he has the long hair that I just mentioned, he's a gentle giant, and one of the people I actually can get along with, so I request many times to work with him, he's a human, like me." I opened the file. "Now, I want you to correct anything that I say, understand?" I tell him. He nods.
"Your name is Haruki Washuu, your parents are Risako and Hayase Washuu, is that correct?" I inform him, which he nods. It was only as of late that Hayase Washuu has came to light, he was buried and had a chain around him figuratively on this mystery guy. He was the son of the former CCG chairman, he was a half human presumably, and, he was Reina's father. He died under mysterious circumstances, but it's rumored that it was a form of cancer, although his body shows that he was bludgeoned and nearly decapitated from the photos we discovered.
"You were in a fatal car accident when you were eighteen, killing your mother, and now you are twenty eight, is that right." I tell him.
"My birthday is March 31st." He says.
"Funny enough, me and Reina share the same birthday, December 24th." I give a weird smile, trying to lighten the mood, but I don't know how. "Your kagune type is Ukaku?" I ask him.
"So is that blue haired chick, is that right? Satoru mentioned her to me before because of her quick responses." He says.
"Naito, oh yeah." I smirked. What a broken man.
"We got two options for you, become a peacemaker and join the Marude Squad, to find Reina, or just go back to Oslo, we can't handle someone who works for both sides." I get up. "Take your time, however I would choose the first one, if you want to see Reina again, and not under that name you were given." I leave the room.
"Toyama, I thought you left?" I said as I got back to my cubicle. He looks stressed. "What's wrong, is it about Reina?" I ask him, pulling out a chair and sitting by him. Toyama, like Kishimoto, tend to get overly emotional, and are downright nice people, unlike Amano who was a class clown. Toyama was the rich kid who was actually taught how to be a good person, his family has donated enormous amounts of money to charities and helped repair old buildings after the battle years ago, which is why he became an investigator so easily. He was a very attractive young man with long hair that he kept up due to a personal liking of it. Every girl had a crush on him, and every girl that confessed to him he rejected, citing her reason as to focus on his work.
"No." He mumbles. He places his phone on his table and wipes his eyes. Was he crying? "I just got off the phone with my mom." He moves his chair by me. "She says she found someone that I can marry." He says.
"That's great." I give a weird smile, not really knowing what he meant.
"You smile so weird." He chuckles a bit. "It's not, really great, she just doesn't understand." He groans.
"What's that, you don't want to get married right now, that's understandable, I'm too young to get married, I'm only seventeen, maybe you can tell her to wait, why is it such a bad thing?" I said, rambling on trying to come up with a solution.
"Kaito, I know you might not like this, but, I'm gay." He tells me, which makes my eyes widen
"That's the big deal, why didn't you tell your mother?" I question him.
"She wants grandkids, but I don't want to disappoint her." He sighs.
"That is possible with today, dude."
"Yeah, she's just very traditional." He fixes his man bun.
"Shima Toyama, I swear to God, if you don't tell her, you will regret it all your life." I get stern. "I don't care if you're gay or not, we all just want you to be happy, you're my friend, for crying out loud." I give a soft smile. He smiles after me.
"Thanks, Kaito." He hugs me. "Can we keep this a secret to us, Kaito?" He asks me. "For now?0
"Oh of course." I respond. "We're the only two humans in this squad, we got to stick together."
