Chapter 71

Ren and Oscar stood side by side as Cinder began to slowly walk up to the both of them. As she did, she began to spin her swords. 

Cinder: You know. I'm usually faced with people that are on equal footing with me. But this.... this is just so sad. 

Ren and Oscar took steps back as they waited for Cinder to make a move.

Cinder: No matter. I will enjoy this.

Cinder then flew towards the two as she raised her swords. Ren and Oscar were shocked by Cinder's speed. The two quickly jumped out of the way as Cinder slammed her swords onto the ground they stood on, causing a few cracks on the ground. Ren began to run around Cinder as he began to shoot at her. Cinder merely raised one of her swords and parried the shots with ease.

Oscar quickly ran at her and swung his cane at her. Cinder easily dodged his attacks with ease. Oscar grits his teeth in anger as he thrusted his cane forward at Cinder who caught it with her Grimm hand. 

Cinder then summoned a ball of fire in her hand and went to slam it onto Oscar, only for Ren to come in and hit her from the back with his weapon's blades causing her to stumble forward and drop Oscar. Cinder quickly turned around as she summoned another sword and swung it at Ren who barely dodged it. 

Ren stumbled back at he began to fight Cinder head on. He was forced on the defensive as he was being pushed back by her. Ren quickly blocked her sword with both of his weapons. Cinder went to kick Ren, but he blocked it with his own leg. Ren then pushed Cinder back as he swung his weapons at her, managing to hit her a few times.

Ren then ran at Cinder and kicked her in the face before firing more at her. Cinder quickly recovered and flew at Ren. She went to grab his face, but Ren rolled out of the way as he continued firing. Before Cinder could follow Ren, she was hit by Oscar who began to repeatedly hit her with his cane.

Ren seeing this ran up to them and was about to hit Ren, however, Cinder smirked as she let out a yell and sent the two of them flying back into some rocks and train parts. Oscar was then grabbed by Cinder's Grimm arm and was slammed onto the ground causing him to yell in pain. Ren seeing this grit his teeth as he ran towards the Grimm arm and went to cut it. 

Cinder seeing this quickly returned her Grimm arm as she threw a fire ball towards Ren who jumped out of the way. Oscar quickly got up and both he and Ren ran towards Cinder.

Cinder: (They refuse to give up. That stupid spark in them to continue fighting. I'll make sure to burn it completely.)

Cinder quickly flew towards the two of them and grabbed them by their necks. Cinder then slammed the two of them into some rocks. Her hands then began to heat up as Ren and Oscar gasped in pain. Their auras began to deplete very quickly.

Ren and Oscar quickly raised their legs and kicked Cinder away. The two of them then ran towards their weapons while Cinder quickly threw a massive fire ball at them. The two of them grabbed their weapons but the fire ball exploded and sent them flying as they let out painful yells. Ren landed on his feet as he looked at Cinder who began to fly towards Pyrrha.

Ren: No, you don't!

Ren quickly ran towards Cinder and tackled her to the ground as her Grimm arm was about to reach Pyrrha. Ren then began to repeatedly hit her with his weapons, but Cinder sent him flying by forming a fire ball near his abdomen. Ren landed on the ground, breaking his aura. Ren slowly stood up only to see Cinder swinging a sword right towards his face. Ren's eyes widened as he couldn't do anything but watch. 

Ren: (This is it.... I'm going to die.)

Before the blade made contact with his face, Cinder was shot away by a green spell. This caused Cinder to miss as Ren was only cut in the cheek a little. Ren looked over and Oscar aiming both of his hands at Cinder as he glared at her.
