Chapter 72

(University has started for me which means I may not have that much time to write chapters. I'll do my best to at least get 1 chapter out every two weeks, but no promises. Enjoy the chapter!)

Ruby and Penny had managed to fend off the Grimm horde approaching the city and were now making their way through the city of Atlas to kill any Grimm that made it inside. 

Ruby: You see anything?

Penny: Negative! The Grimm must've made it deeper into the city!

Ruby: Then let's hurry up!

Penny nodded as the two made their way deeper into the city of Mantle. Meanwhile, Qrow and Clover were fending off any Grimm they saw. 

Qrow: Any word from James?

Qrow then swung his scythe at two Grimm attacking him. 

Clover: No. He must have his hands busy with Atlas right now!

Qrow: Damnit!

The two then killed a few Grimm running at them. One tried to jump Qrow from behind, but he turned around and quickly shot it, killing it instantly. 

Clover: What could've caused this!?

Qrow: I have a good idea on who it is. 

The two then saw Harriet and Elm running towards them. 

Clover: Elm! Harriet! Are you two done with Grimm up North?

Harriet: Yeah. Everyone has made it to the safe zone. 

Clover: Good!  Then we'll deal with the remaining Grimm in the south.

Elm and Harriet: Right!

As they were talking Qrow looked up at Atlas and looked back at the three. 

Qrow: You three can deal with that. I'll go see if I can help up there in Atlas. 

The three of them nodded as they saw a Group of Grimm running at them in the distance. They quickly ran towards them. Qrow in the meantime transformed into bird and flew up towards Atlas. He eventually arrived and flew into the city, seeing it in utter chaos. As he was flying around, he spotted Tyrian killing multiple civilians and soldiers. 

Qrow: (Tyrian.)

Qrow quickly flew towards Tyrian who was laughing maniacally as he killed everyone in his path. Tyrian then saw a bird flying towards him. Tyrian looked at it confused until the bird suddenly turned into Qrow. 

Qrow let out a yell as he swung his sword at Tyrian who raised his wrist blades and blocked his attack. This caused a small crater to form underneath as many civilians ran past the two. Tyrian smirked happily at Qrow who glared at him. 

Tyrian: Well, how long has it been Qrow Branwen? The last I saw of you was back at Haven Academy, and before that.... well....

Tyrian immediately raised his tail and went to impale Qrow in the face with it. Qrow quickly raised his sword and parried his tail away. Tyrian quickly went to strike him again with his tail forcing Qrow to move his head out of the way. Qrow then jumped away before getting into a stance.

Tyrian: You cut off my tail. 

Qrow: If you want, I can cut it off again. 

Tyrian: Well, now look at you being so serious. Unfortunately for you, I will have to deny such a request. Although, I do have one question for you.

Qrow: And that is?

Tyrian smiled sinisterly as he leaned closer, all while a purple aura began to slowly surround him.
