Chapter 9

3rd Person POV

(Y/N) and Blake were currently eating in small restaurant with neither saying a word. Blake had also put back her bow since she didn't want to deal with any racist humans, especially after what happened in her team's dorm. As for (Y/N), he was just happy to be eating since he hadn't eaten anything the entire day.

Eventually, Blake grew tired of the silence and decided to break it.

Blake: So? Why did you really go after me?

(Y/N): Like I said before, I don't want to deal with Weiss tomorrow, and I was also really hungry. 

Blake: No, that can't be the only reason. There has to be something more to this, right? You have something planned, don't you?

(Y/N): You know, for the quietest person in team Rwby you sure ask lots of questions. But alas, yes. I also have a question for you. 

Blake: Well then, ask away.

(Y/N): Alright. My first question is: why did you leave the White Fang? Most white fang soldiers never leave after they've joined since they all believe to be on the right path.

Blake immediately looked down since the question brought back some sad memories. 

Blake: Well... when I first joined the White Fang, I was only a young child. I went to every protest and boycott they held since I thought that we were making a difference. I thought... I thought that if we continued to do what we did, if we continued to fight for our rights. That in time the humans would learn to respect faunus and that we would all finally live in peace with each other. But... I was just a child back then with hopes and dreams. And everything we did had not accomplished anything. Then, 5 years ago our leader stepped down from his position, and a new one emerged... as did new ways on how to get respect for the faunus. Our new leader's ways were more violent and destructive. Our peaceful protests were replaced by coordinated attacks on shops, industries, dust companies, and we attacked any human that was in our way. And the saddest part... it worked... faunus were beginning to be treated as equals by the humans, but not out of respect... but out of fear. During that time, I... fully supported it since it was bringing faunus what they've always wanted... equality.

(Y/N): But then something happened that ruined your view on them?

Blake looks down and nodded her head.

(Y/N): Wanna talk about it?

Blake: ... B-back in the white fang I was great friends with 2 faunus, Adam and Illia. Once our new leader had taken over, they... changed. Specifically, Adam, he got more rageful and his hatred for humans seemed to increase more and more. He also began to... kill the humans. I at first didn't have a problem with it since the humans he killed were the ones responsible for countless faunus deaths. But over time... he started to kill any human that he saw. He started to believe that in order for the faunus to live in harmony and peace, the White Fang would have to...

(Y/N): Kill all of humanity. 

Blake: ... Yes. However, there's something... or rather someone that made Adam even more rageful against the humans. 

(Y/N): ... Who?

Blake: ... Have you heard of the assassin that has been killing corrupt politicians, murderers, criminals and members of the White Fang for almost 3 years.

(Y/N): Yes. I don't think there's anyone in Vale who hasn't heard of him. But what does he have to do with Adam? (What did I do?)

Blake: Well, before our original leader stepped down, everyone in the white fang saw him as a hero, me included. We heard of his murders against the corrupt and those that did injustices against the faunus. The white fang believed that one day he could've joined them and helped them claim the equality and peace they have wanted for so long. But... once they began to cause 'murder and mayhem' like you said they were... he began to attack the white fang as well. I still remember when our leader declared him one of our greatest threats that should be eliminated at once. As for Adam, his hatred for the humans increased and he swore he would kill the assassin. Then it happened...
