Chapter 55

3rd Person POV

Ruby and (Y/N) were currently being rushed through the hospital on stretchers which were covered in their own blood. Ruby and (Y/N) were then taken into different rooms and the doctors immediately began to work on treating their injuries. Blake could be seen standing outside (Y/N)'s room looking through the window as the doctors treated his injuries. She then slowly looked away as her fists tightened, and a single tear fell from her eyes and hit the ground. 

Blake: You idiot. You promised you would be ok. 

And a few feet away were Yang and Qrow who looked at Ruby's room with saddened looks. Yang not being able to contain herself any longer burst into tears and quickly hugged her uncle who was trying his best not to cry. 

Qrow: (I'm so sorry Tai. Summer. Ruby.)

As for everyone else, they all sat in the lobby as they waited for the three to come back. Ren and Jaune had tried their best with making sure Ruby and (Y/N) stopped bleeding but the two had received a lot of injuries. With Ruby having been stabbed by something and having lost her eye. While (Y/N) had multiple broken bones and his entire left arm was covered in blood. They all then saw the three walking towards them with saddened looks. Jaune quickly got up from where he sat and looked at the three. 

Jaune: Are they going to be ok?!

However, Jaune received no response and Qrow just walked right past him while pulling out his flask. He then drank from it before looking at Jaune. 

Qrow: Let's just go kid. They'll be taken care of here. 

Qrow then walked away as everyone looked at him. Qrow then walked out of the hospital and began to walk towards where they were staying. As he was walking, he took a right turn into an alleyway as he continued to drink from his flask as some old memories flashed through his mind. 

A little Ruby could be seen crawling on the floor while Qrow looked at her with a smile. He was currently babysitting her, and Yang since Tai was on a mission. The little rose then ended up bumping her head on a table and tears began to form in her eyes. Ruby then began to cry and Qrow quickly rushed to her side and picked her up. 

Qrow: There, there. Uncle Qrow is here. 

Qrow then picked up one of her toys and began to play with her, causing the little Ruby to smile and laugh. 

Qrow chuckled at the memory before taking another swig from his flask.

Ruby could be seen working late in the night on her crescent rose while everyone was sleeping. Qrow then walked in and looked at his niece with a small smirk. 

Qrow: Aren't you supposed to be asleep? You know how Tai and Yang can get. 

Ruby: I'll go to sleep when I'm done creating my weapon. I'm almost done with it. 

Qrow: Whatever you say Ruby. 

Qrow laughed at the memory as he took another swig before falling on the ground as he began to cry. His mind remembering how happy Ruby was before the Fall of Beacon to her now being in the hospital. In a fit of rage, he threw his flask at a nearby dumpster before getting up and kicking the dumpster endlessly.

Qrow then stopped as he stumbled back into a wall and fell back to the ground. He then looked up at the night sky as it began to rain. With everyone else, they had all gotten back to Saphron's house and immediately went to their rooms. Blake could be seen sitting on her bed alone. She then looked up at the moon through her window as tears fell from her eyes. 

Blake: Please, don't leave me again. I just got you back.

As for Yang, she currently sat on her bed as her eyes flashed red with tears falling from her eyes.
