Hello, Yellow Fellow
Chapter 6: SurprisesMy eyes widened as soon as I saw who it was.
"Good morning."
"Why the heck are you here?" I snapped, still in shock.
"Cause I'm your personal driver?" he answered, flashing that proud smile of his.
I stood there, dumbfounded, unable to process what was happening. This guy, who had been pestering me for the past few days, was now standing inside my condo.
I glanced over at him, still trying to process everything. I watched him making himself comfortable on one of my sofas, casually taking in the surroundings of my condo as if he was inspecting it.
"How the hell did you know my condo unit? At paano mo nalaman na may lakad ako at this hour?" I asked, still in disbelief. He was lounging on the sofa, crossing one leg over the other, his arms resting as if he owned the place. Nagpakafeel at home ang loko!
"Guts," he said with a grin.
"Or let's say, I'm just being good on my first day," he added, waggling his eyebrows in a way that made me want to roll my eyes.
I'm still puzzled and filled with questions. How does he know I'm on the seventh floor? And how did he even figure out which direction to go inside the building?
"Hindi kita inutusan na sunduin ako, duh," I snapped, rolling my eyes at him.
"And I don't even need you to tell me," he shot back, as if he was the one calling the shots. My eyes widened even more, glaring at him.
"That's not how you treat a visitor," he lectured, as if he was really welcome in my space.
"Are these the bags you're bringing?" he asked, pointing to the pile of equipment bags. Hindi ko siya sinagot, instead ay padabog akong pumasok sa kwarto ko. I grabbed my phone, desperate to call Kuya.
Damn it, did Kuya lie to me about not knowing this guy?
Before I could dial, a message popped up on my screen.
Kuya Indigo:
Hi Elio, Someone will drive you to Beverly Studio. May inasikaso pa kasi ako right now. Be nice, okay? See you.
Shit, so kilala nga ni Kuya. And what does he mean, "be nice"? How can I be nice when this guy is driving me crazy? Gosh, nakakainis!
I grabbed my handbag from the bed and stormed out of the bedroom. Nandoon pa rin siya sa sofa at nakaupo, busy on his phone. He was wearing a leather jacket over a black shirt, paired with black denim pants and white sneakers. He looked more like a model than a driver. Seriously, nakakahiya na tawagin siyang driver ko.
"So, you wanna be a driver, huh?" I asked, my voiced laced with sarcasm. I noticed how his eyes lit up at my question.
"Yeah," he replied eagerly.
"Then you can carry the bags too," I said, gesturing to the four big bags I had prepared yesterday. If you wanted to be a driver so bad, might as well gawin na rin kitang alalay para naman may kwenta ka for today.
"Okay, no problem," he said, standing up immediately to grab the bags.
Bago pa man ako makaalis sa loob, he said something that made me stop in my tracks.
"You owe me two now." I glared at him before walking out, hearing him chuckle as he followed me.
In the parking lot, I noticed he had brought a new car. It looked expensive, judging by the design. After a few minutes, he arrived with my bags.
