Hello, Yellow Fellow
Chapter 8: Scent

I sat down on a couch after the shoot, letting my head rest back as I closed my eyes for a moment. The shoot had just ended, and I could feel the numbness in my hands. Ramdam na ramdam ko 'yong ngalay after almost six hours na walang tigil na shoot. The camera was heavy, and with the continuous back-to-back shots, this was the longest and most exhausting shoot I'd ever had. But despite that, everything went smoothly, thanks to the help of the staffs.

I opened one eye when I felt someone standing in front of me. It was Nico at may hawak na energy drink, offering it to me. Ngumiti ako at kinuha naman 'yon. I opened the drink and took a gulp.

"Thanks," I said after taking a sip.

"Well, thanks to you, the pictures are over the top," he complimented me as he looked at the prints he was holding. They were the photos I took, which had already been printed. I guess they're planning to submit them to their head tomorrow.

Hindi ko mapigilang ngumiti at maging proud sa sarili ko. I'm just so happy I pushed my skills to the limit. I didn't expect I could pull off some of those angles na hindi ko pa nagawa before. And of course, kudos din sa production team kasi laking tulong nila to make the outcome so great. Also, thanks to me I've redeemed myself after feeling awkward earlier because of Maki.

Speaking of that guy, I don't know where he is. Baka umalis na since siya 'yong nauna matapos sa shoot kanina.

I grabbed the photo prints from the table after Nico left. As I looked through them, my eyes landed on a photo of Maki. It was the shot that left me hanging earlier. I really have no idea why I did that. Maybe it was just his presence, too overwhelming.

"Can't get over me?"

I blinked when a familiar voice came from behind me. His head was close to mine, looking at the photo I was holding. I could smell his scent, a blend of flowers, leather, and woods, teasing my nose. I swallowed hard.

"Kapal!" I said, trying to put some distance between us. He laughed at my reaction, and I shot him a glare.

"Kapal? Pero titig na titig," he smirked, raising an eyebrow at the photo in my hand. Oh, shit, bakit hawak-hawak ko pa rin 'to?

I quickly swapped the picture for the one behind it. My brows furrowed when it was still his photo. I grabbed another one, and it was still him. I closed my eyes in exasperation. He burst out laughing, which only made me more embarrassed.

Ano ba naman 'to? Bakit parang pictures lahat 'to ni Maki?

I pouted and just put the photos back on the table. Baka pag pinalitan ko, it'll probably be more pictures of him, and I don't want to boost his ego any further.

"That's fine, I can send you more photos privately," he said with a chuckle, sitting down next to me. Hindi na ako umimik, baka mamaya patulan ko na 'to.

"You did great," he said while looking over his printed photos.

"But I still look better in person," he added, nodding as he admired his pictures.

This guy really loves himself.

"Dream on," bulong ko, making him glance at me.

Suddenly, he leaned in closer, surprising me. I instinctively leaned back, and our gazes locked. This was the second time we were this close. I could feel his breath on me, and our faces were so near that I could see his caramel brown eyes up close again. My lips parted slightly at the sight of them. Slowly, his gaze shifted down to my lips, making my heart race even faster.
