Hello, Yellow Fellow
Chapter 20: Petty

"I think everything is ready," sabi ko habang tinitignan for the last time ang mga gamit ko. May activity kami sa photography class today, and I needed to bring some of my babies—aka my camera and lenses. Seryoso, walang pwedeng maiwan.

I quickly zipped up my bags and slung them over my shoulders. Lumabas na ako ng condo, and the moment I stepped outside, I spotted Maki’s car parked by the entrance. Bumukas ang passenger seat at bumulaga sa akin ang nakabusangot niyang mukha.

"Aga-aga ganyan na mukha mo?" Pabirong tanong ko sabay irap. Gosh, what's wrong with him this time?

"Tss," he grumbled, clearly in a bad mood.

Napataas ang kilay ko. Balik na naman kami sa pagiging aso’t pusa since he transferred to my university two weeks ago.

"Hi!" Biglang sulpot ni Waiian from the back seat. Napatalon ako ng very slight kasi I didn’t even know he was there. Jusko, Waiian!

"Good morning, Waiian," I greeted, sliding into the passenger seat after recovering from my mini heart attack.

Napatingin ako kay Maki, who was now focused on driving, ang kilay parang gustong kumawala sa noo niya. At naka-glasses pa. Gosh, why does he have to look so good even in a bad mood?

"Why? Anong meron?" Tanong ko kay Waiian, curious sa pinagtatalunan nila.

"Di ka raw niya masoso—"

Bago pa matapos si Waiian, may tinapon si Maki mula sa harapan. "Aw!"

"You shut your damn mouth or I'll drop your ass off in the middle of the road," Maki snapped, his brows furrowing even deeper. Napatawa na lang ako. Ang cute niya kapag naiinis.

He shot me a glare, which only made me laugh harder. Ang maldito niya today.

"Kakampi ka pa diyan kay Waiian?" he sulked, his voice softer but still annoyed.

"Calm your temper, Matthew," I chuckled, calling him by his full name. I know he hated that.

"No." He glared even more, making both me and Waiian burst out laughing.

"Hey, can we stop for food? Gutom na ako," I said, realizing the bread and white choco I had earlier wasn't enough for someone like me, a self-proclaimed heavy eater.

Maki just nodded and turned towards a nearby fast-food chain. Maaga pa naman so okay lang na mag-stop over. I was about to get out of the car when Maki opened his door first and signaled Waiian to follow him inside. Hinayaan ko na lang sila, choosing to stay in the car and watch over our stuff. Through the window, I saw Maki smack Waiian on the back as they entered. Gosh, what a petty guy. Ano kayang problema niya ngayon?

Nalaman ko rin na buong squad niya lumipat sa university namin. Tinanong ko siya kung bakit, at ang simpleng sagot lang niya, "Para sama-sama tayong grumaduate." Well, kasama rin naman 'yung girls squad nila dito sa university, so I guess it makes sense.
