Yn returned, quietly closing the door behind her. As she stepped inside, her eyes immediately fell on the figure in front of her.
Jungkook had fallen asleep, slouched at his place.
A soft smile crossed her face as she approached the bed, her eyes lingering on him. 'He must be really tired. But can he be comfortable like that?' she thought to herself.
She moved to the other side, grabbed a pillow, and set it on the couch.
She hesitated, glancing back at him. 'Should I wake him so he can lie down properly?
No, better not. He was upset earlier.' With a quiet sigh, she walked to the socket and turned off the light.
Returning to the couch, she lay down and closed her eyes, but no matter how much she tossed and turned, sleep wouldn't come. Frustrated, she sat up and glanced at him.
He was still fast asleep. 'He's going to wake up with a stiff neck like that,' she thought, sighing softly.
Quietly, she stood up and tiptoed over to him, her heart racing as she gently lifted the pillow and placed it behind his head.
'That's better. At least it'll give him some support.' She turned to leave, but just as she took a step, she felt a gentle grip on her hand.
Startled, her eyes widened as she quickly looked back.
"Leaving already?" he murmured, his eyes still closed, but his hand lightly holding her wrist.
Yn swallowed nervously. "S-sorry! Did I wake you?"
His eyes slowly fluttered open.
Moonlight gently touches her face, highlighting the soft curve of her cheek and the shimmer in her eyes.
Her skin glows like porcelain, with each strand of hair catching the light as if woven from starlight.
"Not really... Where were you going?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
She gave him a small smile. "Just to sleep..."
He nodded slightly. "This is where you sleep, right?"
She nodded. "Yeah, but you should take the bed tonight. You're exhausted. I'll sleep on the couch."
He sighed, shaking his head. "No, I've already said I can't let you do that. I'll take the couch; you stay here."
She sighed but then glanced at their joined hands. "My hand..."
He looked down, realizing he was still holding her hand. Clearing his throat, he let go and stood up.
Yn quietly moved to the other side of the bed, adjusting the blankets before lying down.
Jungkook settled onto the couch, leaning back as he tried to get comfortable.
With her back turned to him, she hugged the extra pillow, finding it easy to drift off to sleep.
But Jungkook, lying on the couch, remained wide awake, unable to find any rest.
As the night grew darker, Yn shifted in her sleep and noticed him sitting with his head tilted back. She frowned and sat up. 'What's wrong?'
Jungkook stirred and groaned. Yn got up and removed the blanket to check on him.
Before she could reach him, he sensed her movement and asked, "What happened?"
She shook her head. "Nothing. Weren't you sleeping?" He shook his head. "Nope, I couldn't sleep."
Yn's concern deepened. "Why not? Are you feeling unwell?" He sighed. "My head hurts. I couldn't sleep last night either, maybe that's why."
