With a frustrated groan, his restraint finally shattered. His body trembled, overwhelmed by the storm brewing inside him.
In one swift, furious motion, he swept his arm across the table; papers, objects, everything crashing to the floor with a thunderous clatter.
The door flung open. Jimin stepped in, alarm written all over his face. “Jungkook? What happened?” he asked, rushing towards him.
Jungkook’s chest heaved with ragged breaths, his eyes wild; a storm of pain and fury blazing behind them. He didn’t look at Jimin right away.
His voice came out low, strained, as if holding back an eruption. “Daehyun… Yn’s with him.”
Jimin froze, eyes widening in disbelief. He gently placed a hand on Jungkook’s back, trying to ease the fury he could feel radiating off him.
“What? But… how? He doesn’t even know Yn, does he?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Jungkook stood still, every muscle coiled tight with rage. It clawed at his sanity, clouding his thoughts, but one thing stood clear.
“Her stepmom,” he muttered darkly. “She’s with them.”
Jimin stood there, stunned, unable to process, unable to speak.
Jungkook suddenly moved, grabbing his keys off the table. “Where are you going?” Jimin asked quickly, stepping up beside him.
Jungkook exhaled slowly, jaw clenched, his voice calm now, but deadly. “You’ll find out.”
He walked out of the room, Jimin trailing behind, calling his name, but his words fell into silence, unheard. Jungkook had already alerted his men.
Without wasting a second, they left the house and got into the car.
Jungkook remained silent the entire time, but it was the kind of silence that screamed louder than words.
The unnerving stillness before a storm breaks loose.
The convoy moved swiftly through the city, shadows chasing headlights. His eyes remained fixed ahead; unwavering, razor-sharp, and seething with a quiet fury that could freeze blood.
Jimin had been briefed on everything he needed to handle, Jungkook made sure of it. With the weight of truth finally in his grasp, there was no room for error.
Not anymore. Not when the face of the enemy was now clear.
They stopped before a towering building. Jungkook stepped out, his movements precise and deliberate, heading straight inside.
His men had already sealed off the perimeter. Any resistance had been dealt with swiftly.
Now, he stood in Daehyun’s office, alone, silent, eyes scanning every corner.
He was searching.
And he wouldn’t leave until he found what he came for.
Every corner was being torn apart; shelves emptied, drawers pulled open, cabinets searched down to the last inch.
Nothing was left untouched. Everyone was occupied, working with a quiet urgency, trying to piece together anything that could lead them to a clue.
Jimin was out, handling his part, the weight of the situation pressing heavily on them all.
Meanwhile
Hours passed. The once silent room was now buzzing with low murmurs, the kind of disarray that made the air feel thick.
Slowly, her eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the dim light and unfamiliar surroundings.
