Yn and Jungkook had returned to the gathering, mingling with everyone there.
Yn quickly got engaged in a conversation with Eun Ae, and the two were soon seated together, chatting and getting to know each other better.
Meanwhile, Jungkook was deep in discussion with his business partner, focusing on their joint project and presenting his objectives and insights.
As the evening progressed, Yn was introduced to Jungkook’s circle, gradually becoming familiar with his friends.
By now, she and Eun Ae had already formed a close bond, laughing and chatting like old friends.
Jungkook watched her from a short distance, a gentle smile playing on his lips as he observed her happiness.
Sophia had left earlier with Sungmin after stopping by Yn's room.
Dinner was finally served, and the guests turned their attention to their meals, breaking into conversation from time to time.
Jungkook eventually returned to the table, joining his friends and taking a seat beside Yn.
She grew quiet for a moment, her mind drifting back to earlier events, her fork paused in her hand as she became lost in thought.
Jungkook noticed her silence and frowned, leaning in slightly to whisper, “Why aren’t you eating? Everything alright?”
She blinked, pulled from her thoughts, and gave him a small nod. “Y-yeah! I’m eating, don’t worry…” He raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. “You sure?”
She chuckled softly and nodded again. The evening continued, and as dinner wound down, guests began saying their goodbyes to the hosting couple.
Jungkook exchanged farewells with his business partner, Dohyun. “And Mr. Jeon, I must say… you have an enchanting wife. I’m envious…”
Jungkook’s smile tightened slightly as he forced a polite expression. “Yes, I’m lucky to have her…”
Gradually, everyone departed, and the long day drew to a close. Yn was already upstairs, changing in their room, while Jungkook lingered downstairs finishing a phone call.
Once they’d both changed, Jungkook settled onto the bed, watching as Yn joined him after moisturizing her hands.
She let out a gentle sigh, sinking down on her side. Jungkook glanced at her, a smile tugging at his lips. “Tired?” She returned his smile, nodding, and he chuckled softly.
“Thank you…” she murmured softly, her gaze lowered to the floor. Jungkook frowned slightly. “Thank you? For what?”
She looked up at him. “For everything… for helping me today, for staying by my side, for protecting me…”
He gave a gentle smile, sitting up and turning to face her. “There’s no need to thank me. I did what I was supposed to.
I tried to stop you from going with her, but you didn't listen to me.
What if I hadn’t arrived in time? What if she had tried to harm you? I don’t want you leaving my side, especially when she’s around. Understood?”
She smiled, nodding. “You know, you look really cute when you’re flustered…” Jungkook said, leaning back against the headboard.
Yn frowned, looking confused. “Flustered? I’m not flustered…”
He grinned mischievously. “Oh, you were earlier… should I remind you, in case you forgot?”
She paused, then his grin gave it away, and a rush of heat colored her cheeks and ears. Clearing her throat, she quickly slid under the duvet. “Let’s just sleep! Goodnight!”
