"I don't want to get married now, Dad!" Jungkook exclaimed.
"It’s all arranged, Jungkook. Wasn't it decided between us?" his father replied firmly.
"I’ve given you what you wanted. Now it's time for you to give something to us. This is our only request."
Jungkook sighed in frustration. "But, Dad—"
"No 'buts'! I’ve made my decision," his father cut him off and walked out of the room.
Jungkook rubbed his temples in irritation, his anger simmering.
His mother approached and gently patted his shoulder.
"Jungkook, you're my son, and I know you better than anyone. I’m sure you wouldn’t let us down.
We just want you to start a happy life. You can't stay like this forever."
He sighed and looked at her. "I don't even know her, Mom! She smiled softly. Do you trust me?"
He frowned slightly. "Yes, obviously." She held his hand and caressed it reassuringly.
"Don’t worry and trust your mother’s choice. I won’t disappoint you", she said softly.
He nodded. "Fine. I wouldn’t agree to this if it weren’t for both of you." She smiled. "I know… and I’m proud of you."
He smiled back. "I need to go meet some people. I’ll see you at dinner."
She nodded. "Be careful, okay? And come back earlier—don’t forget about your own wedding."
He chuckled. "Okay."
[Time skip]
Mr. and Mrs. Jeon were in their room, talking. I’m finally at peace."I can’t believe it’s really happening," she said with a smile. "I just hope everything goes well. His well-being is all I want.
It haunts me every time I remember those days.
His aggression scares me. Whenever he’s out, I’m the one who worries the most and feels so stressed," she said.
He nodded. "I know, but at least he respects our decisions. That’s what makes me happy."
The delicate glass shattered as it hit the ground. "Jungkook! Stop! You’ll hurt yourself!"
He pounded his fist on the table, his eyes blazing with anger.
"What else can I do? This is clearly against my will, and I feel helpless because I can’t bring myself to hurt them anymore.
They’ve suffered enough because of my actions."
He ran a hand through his hair, breathing heavily.
"I know, but if you’re going through with this, why hurt yourself like this? It doesn’t help." Jimin replied.
He clenched the chair, his knuckles turning white as he closed his eyes.
"I don’t know, hyung! You know I have no interest in any of this. It’s pointless. They’re ruining her life by tying her to me. This will destroy two lives."
Jimin sighed. "Why are you thinking like that? Be positive. Everything will be alright!"
[Time skipped; at home]
"Are you sure you like it? We can get something else if you prefer," she asked.
Jungkook shook his head. "No, it’s good."
She smiled. "Yns’s dress is really pretty too. I can already picture my kids together."
Jungkook chuckled at his mother’s comment. "I’ll go get some sleep. You two should rest as well—don’t stay up too late."
