He moved restlessly from one corner of the room to the other, taking calls in between, his attention fixed and unshifting.
Everything else had faded into the background—people, time, sleep, everything in short. All that mattered was finding her.
He and Jimin sat in silence, eyes locked on the screen as they sifted through hours of CCTV footage.
Every frame was examined with care, their focus unbroken.
But the footage from one key corridor was missing; completely gone.
The blank space on the timeline said enough, and it unsettled him more than he let on.
He slammed his fist onto the table, the sharp sound echoing in the tense room. He pushed the glass off the edge.
It hit the floor and broke apart, the sound sharp in the quiet room. He stood there, hand in his hair, eyes unfocused, as if trying to steady thoughts that wouldn’t stop spinning.
Jimin let out a quiet sigh and walked over, placing a hand on Jungkook’s shoulder and gently turning him around.
“Jungkook, come on. You need to calm down. Losing it like this won’t help. If you break down, you won’t be able to do anything.
This isn’t the way. Take a breath. Yn’s going to be okay—she will be.
I promise we’ll find her together. But you’ve got to hold yourself together. You’re only hurting yourself like this.”
Jungkook shook his head, his breath coming out in a shaky exhale.
“It’s not that simple, hyung. She’s gone. My wife is missing, and I have no idea where she is.
What if something’s already happened to her? I feel completely useless. I can’t even put into words what this feels like.
Every second that goes by just makes it worse. My head’s a mess, my chest feels heavy, and I can’t— I can’t even think of anything happening to her. God... what am I supposed to do?”
Jungkook’s voice trembled as he paced the room, clearly falling apart.
Jimin watched him, one hand resting on his waist, uncertain of how to help.
“Jungkook, listen to me,” he said calmly. “We will find her. She’ll come back to you, I promise. And it won’t be long now.
Everyone’s out there searching, our whole team is on it, tracking every lead.
But you need to hold yourself together if you want Yn to be okay. You have to stay strong for her. Try to get a grip on your emotions.”
He spoke gently, trying to steady him, even if just a little.
He knew words wouldn’t fix anything, but maybe they could help him breathe through the panic.
The entire team was already working around the clock, chasing leads, digging through clues—anything that could point them toward her.
Just then, a knock broke through the silence. Jimin turned. “Come in.”
A man stepped in briskly. “Sir, we found the waiter.”
Jungkook froze, his head snapping towards him. “You did? Where is he?”
Without another word, he and Jimin followed the man upstairs.
They entered a room where someone sat tied to a chair, his face bruised and half-lit under the ceiling light.
Jungkook stepped forward, eyes narrowing as he studied him.
