Ready to go, they left the room and made their way downstairs to the car. He paused by the passenger door, opening it with a warm smile that made her stop in her tracks.

She met his gaze, a soft look in her eyes, and he gave her a small nod, urging her to get in.

With a slight smile, she slid inside, and he closed the door gently, walking around to the driver’s side.

Once on the road, they fell into easy conversation, exchanging playful banter and sharing laughter as the city lights streamed past the windows.

The ride felt effortless, filled with their quiet moments of understanding and the comfort of each other’s presence.

Soon, they arrived at a mall. Stepping out, they wandered through the brightly lit halls, exploring different shops.

Despite her protests and half-hearted objections, he wouldn’t take no for an answer, insisting on buying her items she hadn’t even glanced at twice.

Each time she shook her head, he’d smile mischievously and add yet another bag to the growing pile, his persistence and her resigned amusement painting a picture of fond affection that made them both laugh as they wandered from shop to shop.

They found themselves at a boutique, browsing through the rows of dresses. “What do you think of this one?” she heard him say, turning to see him holding up a dress.

It was a sleek, black silk bodycon, its fabric catching the light with a soft shimmer.

“You like it?” she asked, a hint of hesitation in her voice. He glanced at the dress and then back at her, a smile tugging at his lips.

“I can already picture you in it. It’d look amazing on you,” he murmured, his eyes glinting with a teasing smile.

Her cheeks flushed as she looked away, trying to hide her embarrassment.

“So… you like it or not?” he asked softly.

She glanced at him, giving a small nod and a faint smile. “Yeah, it’s nice. I like it.”

Pleased with her response, he led her to the jewelry store next. They browsed through the displays, examining one piece after another.

After sifting through several options, they settled on a delicate diamond set, its understated elegance making it the perfect choice.

While she admired the necklace, he picked out a ring, catching her eye to see if she approved.

With a small nod and a smile from her, he handed everything over to be packed, and they left the store, content with their purchases.

“We’ve had enough; let’s stop now, please,” she pleaded, but he only chuckled in response.

“Tired already? I thought girls loved shopping, didn’t they?” he teased.

She smiled, shaking her head. “True, but we’ve bought so much already. How much more are you planning on getting?”

He shrugged nonchalantly. “Everything…”

She raised an eyebrow at him. “We’re going back home, understood?”

He shook his head firmly. “No way. There’s still plenty more to see.”

“What else?” she asked, frowning slightly.

He flashed her a mischievous grin. “It’s our first date, Mrs. Jeon. Did you really think I’d wrap it up with just a little shopping?”

She gave him a confused look, but he only chuckled.

“Don’t overthink it. You’ll figure it out as we go. Just trust me and follow my lead.”
