Macau sat in a cafe looking out of the window leisurely, eyes darting at the door every now and then with each passing person, presumably waiting for a person to arrive, it had been a long time since he had been out somewhere, he thought to himself, the students in the cafe reminded him of his friends with whom he used to hang around with after college.

As he was reminiscing his old memories a call came in distracting him from the thoughts, his eyes lit up seeing the screen that was displayed with the name, he immediately picked up the call in one go without even thinking twice.

"Hey Pat!, what are you doing?" he asked having a wide smile on his face,

"Where the fuck are you?"  he asked in a sleepy voice, making Macau a little puzzled.

"Where the heck, should I be?" it was more of a question than a statement.

"I was thinking of visiting you, so was just asking" He said who was lying around in his room,

"uhm...about that, I was actually out," Macau said in a high pitched voice, feeling a little nervous.

"WOW! it's not even a week since you have been discharge and you're already roaming around" he replied groggily.

"Dude it's already been more than 20 days, you make me feel like I ran away from the hospital" Macau laughed.

"So where are you, are you feeling fine, why are you out, did you need anything, should I come pick you up?" he asked in a series of question without taking even a moment to breath out.

"woah...woah...woah calm down! calm down!... for your first question I have to meet up someone so I'm out, I don't need anything I'm fine chill, and no you don't need to pick me up, you really think I'll spare you if I need help, I'll call you back shamelessly, so chill I'm alright" Macau smiled feeling elated by the way his friend cared.

"so something, serious that you had to come right up on you own?" His voice a little more alert than it was before.

"Nah! more like some unfinished business, asked someone to meet me, so came here to meet him" Macau answered vaguely trying to keep out the details.

"you sure, everything..." Pat asked again trying to make sure Macau was all fine, but was interrupted.

"relax not at all a big deal, I'll say you everything after it's sorted out," Macau reminded him again "anyways was just remembering you guys, we should defo try out this cafe out, some times it has a vibe you know" he tried changing the topic.

"Yeah I don't mind eating anywhere, unless it's one of you two who's going to pay, even if it means eating on street, i don't mind at all" Pat joked back making the atmosphere light between them.

"God such a cheap person" Macau commented rolling his eyes,

"Thank you" Pat had a smug on his face

"That wasn't a compliment" Macau scoffed back.

"Well, I would wear it as a badge on my chest, any day" Pat laughed back.

"Okay anyways I'll call you back later," Macau cut short the call, as he didn't want to seem rude for the person he was waiting for.

"yeah, OK bye, catch you later" Pat replied ending the call.

Macau groaned after ending the call keeping his phone aside "why does it feel like one of the worst decision of my life" he grumbled. 'Ah! I shouldn't have given into my temptations' he flinched his eyes feeling the embarrassment, crawl to him.

His thoughts wander off to the time he requested Phayu for a date, making him mentally slap himself for his words, his gulped a glass of water trying to calm down his nerves.
