Meanwhile, in Auradon, Ben was busy working on paperwork in his office when he called out, "Deborah?"
"Yes, Your Majesty?" a voice responded over a speaker.
"Can you ask Lumiere to call me regarding Cotillion?" Ben asked, jotting down notes.
"Yes, sir," Deborah replied.
"Thank you," Ben said, returning to his work. A knock on the door interrupted him.
"Ben?" Evie asked hesitantly, entering the room and closing the door softly.
"Evie!" Ben greeted her with a smile, standing up and giving her his full attention. "Come on in."
Evie looked troubled, her usual cheerful demeanor replaced by concern. She hesitated, struggling to find the right words. "Elina and Mal... they've gone back to the Isle, Ben."
Ben's smile faltered, and all the color drained from his face. Evie walked closer, handing him a letter and a ring. Ben stared at them, heartbroken.
"This is my fault. This is my fault," Ben muttered, realization dawning on him as he began to recount his mistakes—ignoring the signs, dismissing warnings, and losing control during their last argument. "I-I blew it. She's been under so much pressure lately, and instead of being understanding, I just went all Beast on her. I have to go there and apologize. I have to go there and— and beg her to come back."
"Ben, you'll never find her," Evie exclaimed, trying to bring him back to reality.
But Ben shook his head, determined. "I have to."
Evie sighed, understanding his resolve. "You need to know how the Isle works... and you have to take me with you."
"Yes!" Ben agreed immediately, then paused, looking at her with concern. "Uh, are you sure?"
"Yeah. They're my best friends, and we'll bring the boys too because there's safety in numbers. None of us is really too popular over there right now," Evie explained, pacing as she planned.
"Thank you!" Ben said, deeply grateful.
"But let's get two things straight," Evie said, turning to him seriously. "You have to promise me that I won't get stuck there again."
"I promise," Ben said earnestly.
"And there's no way you're going looking like that," Evie added, eyeing his outfit critically.
As Mal waited in front of Drizelda's shop for Elina, she heard the roar of a motorcycle approaching. Elina arrived, dramatically drifting to a stop right in front of her.
"Poser," Mal teased with a smile, and Elina laughed.
"How was the reunion?" Mal asked, noticing the wide grin on Elina's face.
"Perfect, but Harry wasn't there," Elina replied. Mal's expression shifted slightly at the mention of Elina's older brother.
They entered Drizelda's shop, where vibrant music filled the air. Dizzy, busy tidying up the colorful salon, looked up and spotted them.
"Elina! Mal! Is Evie back too?" she asked excitedly.
"Not a chance," Mal chuckled, and Elina nodded. "She loves that place," Mal added, noting Dizzy's slight deflation. "I, um, forgot you guys don't open till midnight. Place looks good. So, what's the deal? Has your grandmother given you any customers yet?" Mal inquired, glancing around.
"Just a witch here and there. Mostly, it's a lot of scrubbing and scouring. Lots of sweeping," Dizzy replied, shrugging.
"Sounds like the old Cinderella treatment, huh?" Mal remarked, and Dizzy chuckled.
