"She's nowhere on campus," Evie announced, stepping into Audrey's dorm room. Uma was already sprawled on the bed, flipping through Audrey's diary, while Celia admired herself in the mirror, trying on various accessories. Elina leaned against the window with her arms crossed, her expression impatient.
"No shit, already told you," Elina said, rolling her eyes.
"Found her diary," Uma chimed in, grinning as she looked up from the pages. "And dang, did you ruin Audrey's life. First, you embarrass her, and then you take up all of Elina's time so she couldn't talk to her much."
Mal raised an eyebrow, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Okay, so did you find anything in there that we don't already know, or?"
Uma smirked and continued, "She hangs out at Fairy Cottage. You know, where Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather hid her mom from your mom."
Mal sighed, a hint of irony in her voice. "Yes, ha, ha, ha, the irony is not lost on me."
Elina pushed off the window and walked toward them, her frustration evident. "Again, already told you that," she said, her annoyance clear. "I don't know what rivalry you two have going on, but you seriously need to stop and listen to me."
The girls exchanged glances, nodding slowly in acknowledgment. "Sorry," Mal muttered, her usual confidence slightly shaken by Elina's sharp tone.
Uma sighed dramatically, sinking further into the plush bed. "How can anyone with this bed ever be unhappy?" she mused, letting herself relax for a moment.
Celia, meanwhile, had found a crown and was now seeking approval. "Okay, how do I look?" she asked, posing with a playful smile.
Evie turned around and frowned slightly, shaking her head. "Okay, the bling stays here."
"But she's bad," Celia protested, her voice filled with mischief.
"And we're not," Evie countered firmly, giving Celia a pointed look. With a sigh of annoyance, Celia took off the crown, placing it back where she found it.
"Ben!" Maddox called out, his voice echoing through the dense forest as he led the boys in their search. The trees loomed overhead, casting long shadows that danced in the dappled sunlight.
"Ben!" Carlos echoed, trying to catch sight of anything that might lead them to their friend. Frustrated, he turned to Dude, who was sniffing around. "Dude, come on. Nothing?" he asked, but the dog just kept sniffing the ground with a focused intensity.
Meanwhile, Gil was distracted by the wild berries he'd discovered growing in a nearby bush. He picked a few, marveling at them as if he'd never seen berries before. "These things just grow everywhere," he said, his eyes wide with wonder as he popped one into his mouth.
Suddenly, an idea struck him, and he turned to Jay, who was scanning the surroundings. "Hey, we should play that ice breaker!" Gil suggested enthusiastically, still munching on the berries. "Um... Jay, I like the way that you can... bounce around and jump off things."
Jay looked at him, amused by the random compliment. "These are free, right?" Gil asked, gesturing to the berries, and Jay nodded, walking over to him.
"Yeah, um... I like how you get a kick out of a berry bush," Jay replied, a small smile tugging at his lips. Gil examined the berry in his hand thoughtfully. "I guess you've probably seen everything by now, huh? Furry rocks, giant fish, you're probably used to grabbing lunch off of a bush."
Jay chuckled softly, shaking his head. "No, I mean, usually no, not really. I mainly just use the vending machines at practice. Tourney kinda eats up most of my time, so..." he trailed off, sharing a knowing look with Gil.
