Y/N felt a lump in her throat as she ascended the stairs, her heart heavy with worry and uncertainty. She had hoped that maybe, just maybe, Jeongguk had cooled down enough to talk. Perhaps they could have lunch together, even if it was just a simple meal of ramen. As she reached the top of the stairs, she called out his name, her voice trembling slightly, but there was no response.

"Jeongguk?" she called again, louder this time, hoping he would answer. The silence that followed was deafening, and Y/N felt a sinking feeling in her chest. She began to search for him, going from room to room, knocking on doors, and calling his name, but each room was empty, echoing the loneliness she felt inside.

Finally, she reached the master bedroom, where she had left her suitcase earlier. Y/N hesitated for a moment before gently pushing the door open. To her surprise, Jeongguk was sitting on the bed, his back against the headboard, looking intently at his phone. Relief washed over her at the sight of him, but it was quickly replaced by confusion when she noticed that her luggage was no longer where she had left it.

"Jeongguk?" Y/N called out softly, stepping into the room. He didn't even look up, his eyes still glued to his phone as if she wasn't even there. She swallowed her pride and forced herself to speak. "I made some ramen... There wasn't much else in the kitchen. Why don't you come down and eat with me?"

Her voice wavered slightly, but she tried to keep it steady. Jeongguk didn't respond, didn't even acknowledge her presence. Y/N's heart ached at the coldness in the room, but she pressed on, trying to reach him. "It's okay if you're mad at me... But please, just come and eat something."

Jeongguk shook his head, finally placing his phone on the bedside table. Y/N's heart leaped with a glimmer of hope, thinking he might actually come down to join her. But instead of getting up, Jeongguk laid down on the bed, turning his back to her, his face hidden from view.

Y/N felt tears prickling at the corners of her eyes. She stood there for a moment, waiting for him to change his mind, to say something, anything. But he remained silent, his body language making it clear he didn't want to talk to her.

She took a deep breath, fighting to keep her composure. "I'll... I'll put your ramen in the fridge. You can heat it up later if you get hungry," she said quietly, turning to leave the room. But as she reached the door, a thought struck her, and she turned back around.

"Jeongguk, where's my luggage? Did you move it somewhere?" she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty. She didn't want to think the worst, but the way he was acting made her nervous.

Jeongguk finally looked at her, a mocking smile playing on his lips. "Did you seriously think I'm going to sleep with you?" he asked, his tone laced with derision. "To hell with that. I don't even want to stay in the same room as you."

Y/N's breath caught in her throat as his words sank in. It was like a knife to the heart, each word cutting deeper than the last. She wanted to say something, to defend herself, but she was too stunned, too hurt to respond.

Jeongguk continued, his voice cold and unfeeling. "I hate you, Y/N. From the bottom of my heart, I hate you. Don't expect me to give you any love because you're not going to get it. Not now, not ever."

Tears began streaming down Y/N's face, but Jeongguk didn't notice—he had already turned away from her, his back once again facing her. It was as if her pain didn't matter to him, as if she was completely invisible.

"Your luggage is somewhere in the hallway," he added, his voice muffled by the pillow he'd buried his face in. "You can sleep in any room you want, but not with me."

Y/N stood there, frozen in place, as the weight of his words pressed down on her. She didn't understand why he was acting like this, why he seemed to despise her so much. But one thing was clear: he had no intention of letting her into his life, not even into his room.
